(Mom's name is Bonnie) Of course Frances was with me at that time. The worst part of being a missionary for me was missing my family and home here in the USA. In those days there was no internet, no e-mail, and we could not even get a phone. Had to go to the main "phone house" in town to make a long distance call - which was usually assisted by radio. What great memories!Fred Altonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12740055638280779519noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3874656382203957840.post-89690284624438072132011-07-18T11:46:46.204-04:002011-07-18T11:46:46.204-04:00Some memories are good and some are better left al...Some memories are good and some are better left along. Memories are always good to have and to look back on and to share with the younger generation (if they will listen to them)

I do feel for the troops and the families separated by duty to their country; I'm glad people are willing to make the sacrifice to do so, but I do know, and you can attest, it is not easy for either one, the one that goes or the one that stays behind.

Hoping you both are enjoying a nice Sunday!

bettybettyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06323135450742337670noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3874656382203957840.post-75041309200920593882011-07-17T16:36:14.397-04:002011-07-17T16:36:14.397-04:00Mamories, Memories I am glad for good memories.

Wait until you get my age and tell me
about the running, jumping and even going up
and down steps. We may have to put an elevator
in the Condo and escalator on the deck. The old
body slows. My mind wonders and sometime will
not return.

Shirlshirl72https://www.blogger.com/profile/17268124369207064149noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3874656382203957840.post-6473519553831993082011-07-17T16:29:42.994-04:002011-07-17T16:29:42.994-04:00Isn't it strange how in my mind at least, we ...Isn't it strange how in my mind at least, we can think back, good and bad memories. For some reason I had this strong urge to write a line to my stubborn son in Texas that will not acknowledge my presence in his life. The strange part of it was, what just flowed out of my mind. I thanked him for all he has done for me in our lives together, and told him I missed him. I ave not heard from him but I feel better than ever.Lucyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02272388069537746789noreply@blogger.com
