What stories those older trees could tell. Silent sentinels.

Tickled that y'all drove the 70 miles to Woodstock! I was such a fuddy-duddy back then, and probably would've cringed at all the MUD! I thank you for that. It's exciting and humbling to step where our forefathers have on their way to carving our nation. As for today, it saddens me that our own government is blinded by today's turmoil. Only God can get into their hearts and fix things. Thanks again for the wonderful lessons. I would have paid closer attention in History classes if only we could have toured such places.
love n' hugs from up north~~~~~another beautiful day in our neighborhood.Darhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16642092433299872708noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3874656382203957840.post-12391969236489014772017-07-31T08:55:58.735-04:002017-07-31T08:55:58.735-04:00I fell in love with that beautiful picture with th...I fell in love with that beautiful picture with the flowers. Lots and lots of history in the post. We are following in the footsteps of our forefathers every day. This country was a new frontier and every place we step, some one forged through unknown territory to get to first. Have fun exploring ! Lots to see and even if you've been there before it will look a little different now. Change never stops.I'm mostly known as 'MA'https://www.blogger.com/profile/12107548726472541669noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3874656382203957840.post-23484394466718256452017-07-31T08:08:45.550-04:002017-07-31T08:08:45.550-04:00Sounds like Virginai is a beautiful place. I laughed at your John Wayne moment.

Keep on exploring!
LisaLisahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03109633602729593188noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3874656382203957840.post-49192761403006666932017-07-31T01:27:12.492-04:002017-07-31T01:27:12.492-04:00Years ago we visited Antietam and then a few years...Years ago we visited Antietam and then a few years later were in Montana where the Battle of Big Littlehorn took place. It was humbling to walk around the site, especially in Montana where they had grave markers where people from George Custer's battalion had lost their lives and where he had lost his life. I think if you were that close to where Woodstock was, you would have to have gone to where it was actually at to see that part of history. I was young at the time and remember just bits and pieces of what was reported in the news about it.

bettybettyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06323135450742337670noreply@blogger.com
