Being from a family of diabetics and heart issues makes a person more aware of the way we prepare and eat our food, but it doesn't seem to matter. I've heard over and over again about 'metabolism' being an issue in every body. I was fine in my youth but now? Not so. Even with all the heavy gardening and kid-raising, walking, field work, etc. the weight is a constant struggle. Cooking and eating correct is not always the answer. Awareness is.
love n' hugs from up north where it's still raining to water the truck load of perennials I just transplanted the past couple days...phew, big job. I love to cook and love to eat. But weight doesn't matter to me as long as the clothes fit. I've not been on a scale to see exactly thet I weigh, but I know it is more than it should be. But hey, the clothes still fit ! I like things loose and comfortable, no tight jeans for me, but love my sloppy sweat pants! Ha ! Been a bit lazy at the physical work lately, however y'all have inspired me to get back with portion control and yardwork!!! Not overweight (much), but there are certain food triggers that get me every stinkin' time. It doesn't seem that long ago I'd sit down with a family-size bag of Doritos, and before my show was half over it was all gone. SMH, because I did that sort of thing regularly and still weighed 125.
Sounds like a cliche', but since I stopped smoking 5 years ago the pounds crept on. So far so good: I've stepped up my walking and stuck to no-carbs for 15 days and have lost 5 lbs. 5 more and I'll be happy at 145. I have been able to keep the weight off with portion control. I was 110 lbs when I got married. I like the weight I am now but would love to get back down to 125 so I can enjoy more icecream! haha.

From over here.
LisaLisahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03109633602729593188noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3874656382203957840.post-55513781021375345772019-05-08T12:11:44.660-04:002019-05-08T12:11:44.660-04:00LOL with the sign.
Thanks for the shout out. It ...LOL with the sign.

Thanks for the shout out. It is something you have to keep sticking with. It is easy to fall back into old habits and let the weight sneak back on. That's why we weigh weekly and if we are up a pound or two, back to basics for a few weeks after that.

Are you going to get into trouble recording Sherry's weight here?

I do admire Sherry for being able to have a taste of something and being satisfied with it. A lot of things a taste leads to much more for me!

bettybettyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06323135450742337670noreply@blogger.com
