My mom even signed up for an evening class!
Yours is such a funny take on how it's all around us, and none of us really know what they're saying!
Reminds me of when DH and I took our Alaskan cruise some 10 years ago and the captain's PA announcements would go something like this: "Black bear at ___ degrees." Since I don't "do" degrees, my poor old head was spinning like that girl in the "Exorcist." I never salt anything extra and like it fine without. I do love my sugar but I think they could leave a lot of the sugar out of bought cookies and such. They are sweeter then they need to be.Paulahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04007728342316668058noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3874656382203957840.post-41459247223646784642014-08-31T14:21:38.319-04:002014-08-31T14:21:38.319-04:00What's terrible is how much salt is in process...What's terrible is how much salt is in processed foods or canned goods. Can't get away from it no matter how hard you might want to try to limit it. I've gotten to buying low sodium of soups used for cooking etc. We cook with salt if the recipe calls for it, but don't usually add it at the table. I like what Ma said, all things in moderation.

I do remember the big fuss of converting to metric system and learning some of it in school, but I'm glad we are still with our cups and teaspoons; that I can handle so much more better!

bettybettyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06323135450742337670noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3874656382203957840.post-2874121637872875832014-08-31T13:41:54.432-04:002014-08-31T13:41:54.432-04:00I do not add salt to many things but use a lot of ...I do not add salt to many things but use a lot of black pepper. I always like to think that moderation in all things is the way to live. I'll be interested to see the other post that debunks the theory. It's clouding up here with rain threatening to take over most of the day. Potassium works in balance with sodium. So, I say, have a fresh tomato and sprinkle a little salt on it. ;-)Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05198585505712843153noreply@blogger.com
