Now I send to no one. At first I felt a little guilty when I got one from some and I hadn't sent any. Now I'm guilt free.Paulahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04007728342316668058noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3874656382203957840.post-14815368152284375832015-12-01T18:41:28.340-05:002015-12-01T18:41:28.340-05:00Grover and I don't exchange Christmas presents...Grover and I don't exchange Christmas presents. If we did I would have to get me something for him, he don't buy gifts. Ha. We're having a plumbing problem again. I had the guy out today to check it and it needs a new line all the way to the road. This is a big bill so that will have to be our gifts to each other and might be for everyone else. (smile)I do send out some cards, but not all that many. They do look nice all around the room to look at during the holidays. You would think we were living way down in south Florida the way this weather is. I want some cold weather. Take care. Then again, as you pointed out, Facebook and instant messaging has replaced a lot of that.
Right now, I'm leaning not to send any.
... and in case I change my mind, there's always New Years greetings! My list has decreased in numbers over the years, but I haven't quit yet. Hope you have a safe trip back to Florida. It's a dark rainy day here, I need toothpicks to hold my eyes open. Great minds think alike. Ha! I cut my list back from about 50 to about 25. Im always in a rush to get them out the day after Thanksgiving. But we also ponder the Question if we should do the cards this year. And always end up sending them out anyway.

Keep the Postman busy!
LisaLisahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03109633602729593188noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3874656382203957840.post-62878877929385275982015-12-01T08:26:52.312-05:002015-12-01T08:26:52.312-05:00Safe travels! I remember my mom writing out her cards the first part of December; she did it to keep up with family since we lived many states away, but it was a chore she didn't look forward to and I would often help her address envelopes, etc.

I agree with you and Sherry about not giving gifts to each other. I was thinking about that yesterday as hubby asked me what I wanted for Christmas. There really isn't anything I want and it seems silly to come up with a list of things that I really don't need and may be a chore for someone down the line to dispose of.

But you are right; it was nice to get cards in the mail and to put them on the mantle or wherever and remember the special people who had sent them.

bettybettyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06323135450742337670noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3874656382203957840.post-4311705801485308072015-12-01T08:21:16.847-05:002015-12-01T08:21:16.847-05:00Sending cards was a chore; I was glad to give it u...Sending cards was a chore; I was glad to give it up.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05198585505712843153noreply@blogger.com
