(It feels good to know I'm not the only one!)
I think the last time the lights went out, I said something stupid like, "That's OK, let's turn on the radio."

The origins of Duke Energy are interesting, indeed. Duke University? Who'd have guessed! I'm going to have to try me some of that mayonnaise someday.
Mevely317https://www.blogger.com/profile/14786988262452989091noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3874656382203957840.post-74853501414453867852017-09-18T10:33:43.272-04:002017-09-18T10:33:43.272-04:00Life without power these days seems unreal but it ...Life without power these days seems unreal but it does happen. The longest ours was out was 10 days after tornado force winds that took out entire counties. Fortunately we have a generator. Otherwise things get pretty hairy with concerns of fridg and freezer items spoiling. At least we could run the gas powered generator on occasion. We never minded the 'quiet and calm.' We had over 120some mature maples and hemlock to clean up just to get to the cabin to retrieve that generator. We were blessed far more than so many in the SE. Prayers for you all.
love n' hugs. It will be a long time before things are back to normal and for some there will be a new normal to adapt to. Electricity is one utility that is under appreciated for sure. Hope yours is back on by the time you return. Very interesting about the caddies. Who knew??? Not me for sure ! Good to hear from you again. It was a few miles off and we don't generally hear it.
Thank God for electricity - when I was younger we had a ceiling fan - I never remember being hot.
Have a good one.
sandieChatty Cronehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02232040517217024681noreply@blogger.com
