My Last Michigan Post, heading south

(We won’t be parking here, Mark sold it!)

(A small sign of spring two sparrows making love to themselves in our rearview mirror, while Sherry’s bears watch))

It looks like it is about time to hit the road. There was some hesitation, thinking we might be able to stick around until Johnny went to external rehab, but it does not seen like that is gonna happen. He is breathing on his own, eating and all his vital signs are good; But still no word on discharge.

(Sherry is eating a choc. covered Strawberry, John chose the cantaloupe)

Today we got him an edible arrangement. I think he enjoyed that.

There are some good views from on the seventh floor. The Ann Arbor sky line is visible.

John’s front yard needs work. They have been working on the entrance way since we arrived. Thru rain sleet and snow.

There is a garden on the fourth floor. Mature trees, greenery and other plants. It seems like a relaxing place.

We used the elevator to the 7th floor one time. That is when we took John’s personal stuff up. Since then we have climbed the stairs. My best time is 7 floors in one minute and 45 sec. I usually do it in right at 2 minutes. Sherry does it in less than 4 minutes. I think her best time is 3 ½ minutes. She likes to stop and take a breather at the 5th floor.

However I don’t think my legs are any stronger. I wonder when you are old if you can regain stamina. Or do you injure yourself and make growing old more painful?

Oh yes, I have now four pages of a new novel entitled, “And Finally Love”. It is the continuing story from the book S’gar. In this book S’gar reverts back to his birth name, Jerry Wiley. Jerry at 70+ years old falls in love with a girl named --- Guess? Yep, Sherry. It is gonna be Sherry and Jerry in an Autumn romance.

This is a little early to talk about it but I wanted you folks to know that I have finally started back to work. Hahaha

Thanks for dropping by the log,

RED SKELTON'S RECIPE

FOR THE PERFECT MARRIAGE

5. We always hold hands. If I let go, she shops..

6. She has an electric blender, electric

toaster and electric bread maker.

She said "There are too many gadgets, and no place

to sit down!" So I bought her an electric chair..

Jack and Sherry, I am so happy to see Johnny looking sooo good. and the fruit bouquet is looking sweet and juicy. What a nice thing to do. It looks as tho the hospital has some restful places to sit and relax.
7 floors in a min.45 is outstanding youngin'. Mercy and 3 1/2 min.s? Mercy, mercy, you kids are moving right along for that trek along the Appalachian trail. I can only dream it.
Happy you are hitting the southern trail too. It sure will do your hearts good.
Have a very safe trip.

I know that Johnny is going to miss you two. That fourth floor has some great places to sit and rest a spell. You two are getting more swifter getting up those stairs. It would take me longer than that to make one set. That fruit looks delicious. Have a safe trip headed back southward. Helen

On the road again, hope it's a great trip. It's
looks like Johnny is enjoying his arrangement as
much as Sherry is :) Be safe, Love and Hugs!

Doing exercise at an old age just makes you
hurt more but you need some we never regain
what we have lost. Guess we should have started
early. Remember I am getting old.
Hope everything will go well looking forward to
seeing you down South.

That Edible Arrangement looks delicious!! I think you and Sherry know in your hearts it is the right time for you both to leave; you guys did great staying up there as long as you did!! I tell you, I have to find a picture of hubby's parents' motor home that they used to have; it looks so much like yours and Sherry's. Is it a Luxor??

Safe travels!!

Shirl took the words right out of my mouth on exercise. I truly believe you never regain what you have lost. Safe trip back and you are probably back already or at least getting closer. That edible arrangement looks delicious. I hope Sheri's brother continues to get better and stronger so he can get home.

So, you both are racing up and down the stairs are you? LOL

Glad you will be on the road again where you both love to be. I'm sure Johnny understands.

Love all the photos!
