Favorites, everyone has them, don’t they?

On AOL and other servers, we have favorites.  We list our favorite sites.

When you are driving a motor home you must be careful with things like glasses, if they touch driving down the road they might crack each other in the vibration. All Teflon pots/pans must be separated with towels or cloth scraps, or you will wear the Teflon off.

So a few years ago Shirl gave me a set of glasses when she was down sizing. I loved the glasses, they were the perfect size, and the designs were antique or classic cars. This is the last one, so I decided I had better take a picture of it. The last one is a 1957 Chevy.

Sherry has a new ‘favorite’ soup, tomato basil. or Jack’s special tomato/vegetable soup.  On Fathers day I made her some. (No she did not get breakfast in bed). It was delicious.

(Left overs, this soup has everything but the sink in it, Yeah, we went to McDonalds and shared one biscuit with Jelly)

I finally wore out my favorite jeans out, on the last work trip.

I used to have favorite singers, but they died and I went deaf LOL. Oh but I have many favorite authors. Louis Lamoure, Jack Higgins, Sanford, Grisham, Baldacci, Archer, Clancy, Cussler, Ludlum and many more.

Mitfort series

(You will fall in love with Father Tim and Dooley)

Oh since we are here, have you read the Mitford series by Jan Karon? They are set just a few miles from here. Mitford is Blowing Rock, NC.  If you don’t love Father Tim I will buy coffee the next time we meet.

My favorite sister is Shirl. My favorite sons are Jack & Mark.  My favorite day is today!  My favorite memories are Sherry and I as young parents and two tow headed boys. A day or so ago we saw a young couple get out of their car laughing with two cute boys, they looked happy. We thought of us years ago.

One of Jack Jr’s favorite characters was Tom Terrific, do you remember him? One of his most memorable statements was concerning Crabby Appleton, another of the cartoon characters. “Here comes Crabby Appleton, rotten to the core!”

(Crabby Appleton and Tom w/Manfred)

We were in church one Sunday Morning and the pastor was walking around early greeting everyone. He took Jack Jr’s hand, and greeted him.

Pretty loud, for church, little jack said, “Old Brother Taylor, Rotten to the Core!” There was no question in our minds that the Rev. Taylor, not having children, had no idea who Tom Terrific was, we were sure in his mind Jack had heard that at our house. OUCH, As Art Linkletter said, “Kids say the darndest things!”

Y’all know my favorite Girl. So thanks for coming this way!

Remember Hollywood Squares? Some favorites:

Q. If you're going to make a parachute jump, at least how high should you be

A. Charley Weaver: Three days of steady drinking should do it.

Q. True or False, a pea can last as long as 5,000 years...

A. George Gobel: Boy, it sure seems that way sometimes.

My favorite WORLD CLASS CAR: 1953 MG!

I do love those books about Fr Tim. I've read them all and reread some too. They are a favorite for sure. And YES! My favorite day is TODAY too.

How in the world did I get so far behind in my reading...but I caught up...I miss 'dribbles by chuck' too. If you get an email from me needing money, email me back so I can send you the correct address...ha. I have a couple of favorite singers who died, but I still listen to them. Have a safe trip back down from the mountain, Love from Clemmons, Sheila
