Diplomatic Immunity

I find myself getting mad at ‘foreign diplomats’ when I hear reports from NYC & Washington DC of all the unpaid traffic tickets. I get upset at the arrogance. BUTTTTTTTTT

The beast

By happenstance  I learned something. Did you know one of our president’s motorcade cars was ticketed/fined (120 pounds)a pretty big chunk in London the last visit. The ‘Beast’ would have been ticketed also, but the car behind was following too close and hid the tag from being photographed. During the briefing on the incident, it was said that American Diplomats have racked up OVER 7 MILLION POUNDS of unpaid traffic violations in London alone. BOY AM I MAD!

hemi-trike

(Diplomats should have this tricycle, easy to park, no windshield wiper to put the ticket under)

What that tells me is that diplomats must be a VERY ARROGANT BUNCH OVERALL.  So no longer am I going to get upset about the tickets that DC & NYC cannot collect, since our own arrogant diplomats are doing the same thing.

(If a diplomat carried his horse, he could park a long way off and ride back to work)

I thought diplomats were supposed to spread good will and adapt to their assignments by merging into the population.  Oh well that is what I get for thinking I guess.

Sometimes I get a little disappointed when I learn things.

Thanks for coming by the log.

PS:

The Mona Lisa has no eyebrows. In the Renaissance era, it was fashion to shave them off! I just learned this today. (I am getting much smarter).

I did hear that piece of info on the news. Just goes to show no one is perfect and that includes the bigwigs too. They should have to follow the same rules the little guys do. Thanks to you I am getting much smarter too. I don't exactly know what I'll do with such knowledge, but I'll add it to the wealth of information already stored somewhere in my head. Have a great Saturday!

Our great city is trying to make all the good laws they had, so bad that they don't have to worry about anyone breaking the law, because there aren't enough left to break. Our city is almost as bad as Washington and all their pettiness. The city council is a joke. I don't go where their are parking meters. anymore. It was 10.00 for a meter violation and now good old mayor wants to raise it to 20.00. Sorry I bitched in your area but mentioning tickets brought it all on.

Hope you two are having a nice Saturday. We've been to the ranch and didn't see a thing to write about.

It is said, that there are indeed many that are much more 'equal' that those equal ones.

Over here, there is close to no law enforcement with regard to parking at all. Please have you all a good Sunday.

I want everyone to be ticketed for parking illegally (unless it's you or me!) ☻ Keep smiling. They'll think you're up to something.

I had to laugh at Fred's comment ~ good one! I'm so sick of watching the news and hearing stuff like this. It does make you mad! What makes them think that they are any better than the rest and can get away with it? grrrrrr.... politics ... more like lunatics!

Looks like one of us needs to run for President
so we can straighten things out. If you have money or a Diplomat you are home safe no rules.
I didn't know about shaving the eye brows never
paid attention to Mona Lisa eyebrows now I know
learn something new everyday.

Just think how much money that would add to country's economies (or city's or state's,whatever) if diplomats paid their fines. Why should they be exempt? Just because they might have a fancy title after their name is no excuse to not be accountable for their actions. Sad message they are spreading; sad example they are leading!

<< Luke 12:48 >>

New International Version (©1984)
"But the one who does not know and does things deserving punishment will be beaten with few blows. From everyone who has been given much, much will be demanded; and from the one who has been entrusted with much, much more will be asked."

How did we go from this to the entitlement that the most privileged seem to feel?
