Off for a some real R & R

Saturday is the beginning of our 7 day Eastern Caribbean Cruise.

Explore the exotic ports you’ll be visiting, and join us on a local adventure.

12/15/2012
Port Canaveral (Orlando), FL

Port Canaveral (Orlando), FLWe will only board the ship here. We have camped here many times and have done the Tourist  things here.

Rockets blast off from the Kennedy Space Center, stock cars hug the turns at Daytona International Speedway, and screaming roller coasters zoom through Orlando. Even with all the manmade thrills, your cruise from Port Canaveral departs from a coastline of sugary sand beaches and protected islands for native wildlife.

  • See a rocket up close at the Kennedy Space Center.
  • Walk the bustling Cocoa Beach boardwalk before your cruise from Port Canaveral.

12/16/2012
Nassau, The Bahamas

Nassau, The Bahamas - Blessed by balmy breezes and jumping to a bouncy calypso beat, Carnival® cruises to Nassau, Bahamas promise sizzling fun in the sun. The historic and cultural heart of The Bahamas is one of the world’s most popular cruise ship ports—one million travelers board cruises to Nassau annually. Carnival cruisers come for fine beaches, shopping, water sports, and the fun-filled attractions at the Atlantis Resort, connected to Nassau by a bridge to Paradise Island.

  • Shop for straw baskets and Junkanoo crafts in outdoor marketplaces.
  • Stroll 18th-century colonial streets and climb the sandstone Queen’s Staircase.

St. Thomas, Usvi
Explore this Port

St. Thomas, Usvi - Seafarers from around the globe have flocked to the sheltered harbors of St. Thomas since pirates sailed the seas. Today, St. Thomas cruises dock in one of the busiest and most developed ports in the West Indies—Charlotte Amalie, the island’s historic capital. Join the market bustle by day and swing to scratch bands at night with Carnival® cruises to St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands.

  • Shop till you drop on the historic harbor front in Charlotte Amalie.

12/19/2012
St. Maarten, NA

St. Maarten, NA - Explore two colorful nations on one exotic island on your Carnival® cruise to St. Maarten. Split down the middle centuries ago by two European powers, this 37-mile isle offers cosmopolitan culture, international shopping, and world-class cuisine with a laid-back Caribbean atmosphere. Cruise to St. Maarten and you’ll find the island’s natural attributes are equally fine: the rugged coastline shelters silky crescents of sand framed by green undulating hills.

  • Swim or snorkel the warm, clear seas along a white-sand beach.

Shop the duty-free stores along the Philipsburg waterfront.

  • Swing to calypso sounds at a barefoot beach bar.
  • Hike through the ruins of French and Dutch forts overlooking the sparkling Caribbean Sea.

I'm glad you and Sherry are taking this cruise. Have fun and know that your regular blogging is being missed. We had our Christmas party here with the kids last night...so it's very quiet here and I am moving slow this morning!
