Jimmy Greenway on Catholic Charities

I hope none of you are offended by this piece. I have been holding it, not sure where I should print it or not, but since the Little Sisters of Mercy controversy in the Supreme Court I wanted to print it now. I cannot imagine the Little Sisters being forced to pay for insurance that would pay for abortions and contraceptives against their Solid Religious beliefs. They did not get a definitive answer.  I am not Catholic but we have dear friends that are very dedicated and wonderful folk.

Jimmy Greenway’s words:

When the Catholic Church was founded, there were no hospitals. Today, one out of five people in this country receive their medical care at a Catholic hospital.
When the Catholic Church was founded, there were no schools. Today, the Catholic Church teaches 3 million students a day, in its more than 250 Catholic Colleges and Universities, in its more than 1200 Catholic High Schools and its more than 5000 Catholic grade schools.

Every day, the Catholic Church feeds, clothes, shelters and educates more people than any other organization in the world.
The new Affordable Healthcare Mandate could possibly end all this and the tax payers would have to make up the loss.
(Some changes have been made since Jimmy Greenway said this, but there are still many questions to be answered)

Also, all Catholic adoption services could come to an end. A human disaster.
There are more than 77 million Catholics in this country. It takes an estimated 50 million Catholic votes to elect a president. I am asking all of you to go to the polls in 2014 and be united in replacing all Senators and Reps with someone who will respect the Catholic Church, all Christians, and all Religions besides Islam. (Our nation allows for all religions )

(I am glad that most of the above will be preserved now that a change has been made to the Affordable Care Act (aka Obamacare,) but it is a shame that a religious group is told they must go against their conscience.)

IT has been said, "The USA is not a Christian Nation". BUT we ARE a Christian Nation founded on Judeo-Christian values allowing all religions in America to Worship & Practice Freely. Something Islam will never do,  at present  you cannot own a Holy Bible in Saudi Arabia.

MUSLIM HERITAGE IN America...

Have you ever been to a Muslim hospital ?

Have you heard a Muslim orchestra?

Have you seen a Muslim band march in a parade?

Have you witnessed a Muslim charity?

Have you seen Muslims shaking hands with a Muslim Girl Scouts?

Have you seen a Muslim Candy Striper?

Have your seen a Muslim do anything that contributes positively to the American way of life?

          Jimmy Greenway
Thanks for dropping by, it you have opposing views you have a right to express them. At present I seem to agree with Mr. Greenway. Maybe someone could change my mind, it has happened before.

I began my adulthood as a staunch Democrat. When I felt the Democratic party had left me behind, I switched to the Republican side. At present my political leanings are more Libertarian than Republican. Since I know that NO Libertarian will win a presidential election in the near future, I will vote for the most conservative. I am even hopeful that Democrats will run a fiscal conservative, there are many of them.

PS:

This is a free country, and you have a right to your political opinions, I have mine. I think that is good. All opinions are welcome here, but please keep it civil. My grand kids read this.

I don’t think I ever did see one of these. But it would be cool to drive this. 1937 Packard. Same age as my sweetheart.

To tell the truth, I could not verify if Greenway said this. I tried to search and did not get any definition.
If you know this is wrong let me know. I will delete the post with an apology. Jack

You see I don't care whether or not he said it - makes sense to me.

I have no argument with you on most everything you said. In a way I wish I could get Obamacare. I got a bill for all my tests and it is nearly 10,000.00 and our poor mans insurance will cover some but not all of it. If the Dr. can do the surgery god only knows how much it will cost, but it is my best chance. If he doesn't my life could be limited any way. I agree that their are many faults with Obamacare but there are even more faults with the retirees insurance, I guess what I am trying to say is you don't have to be Catholic to feel shortchanged or taken advantage of. Any way I look at it, if they say they can do the surgery it will be done. It is my only chance to avoid a CHANCE OF A MAJOR STROKE. I know I got personal on this but it sure makes me understand what you are saying.

These are question that I asked all the time. How many Muslim Hospitals, Schools, Parades, Orchestra, Charity, Candy Strippers
Boys or Girls Scouts haven't seen
any to date. We have them on food stamps and welfare. Our homeless
and people who have lost their job need our help.

Great post, Jack. If we didn't feel so ineffectual when dealing with the bureaucracy, especially in the current political environment. Beginning to really listen to Rand Paul, at least he has the intestinal fortitude to step up to the plate with his opinion.

I find no fault with this entry. You can put into words what so many think and don't know how to express.

Totally agree with everything written here, Jack. Hoping future elections bring into office candidates that will start turning America around because I fear if not, there won't be much left of her for future generations to enjoy.

Religious freedom is an important right and should be honored in our country. It was very important to our founding fathers and I'd like to believe that any one can worship as they please.

Catholic Charities does a tremendous amount of good work, The Obamunists need to leave them alone! Good point about the muslims...

That Packard looks to be a Super Eight.
