There is not a good time for a camera failure

WE returned from Grandson Matt Dillon’s graduation. His Sweetie Kirsten  graduated the day before, from the same school, Eastern Carolina University.
They are a sweet serious couple, and a delight to be around. I cannot get over how large universities are, you have to be pretty smart just to find the right class rooms. (LOL)

Below is Matt and his proud mom and dad (Corinne & Mark) (I caught Corrine cutting up!)100_1372 100_1377
Above is Matt and 3/4’s of his grandparents.
I estimated there were about 600 graduates, it is hard for me to wrap my mind around that, and this was the second graduations ceremony for this school. A little more that 600 had graduated the day before.

They graduated a person every 8-12 seconds. once they started thru the line. Thanks goodness it was an indoor graduation, Tropical Storm Ana was brewing off the coast and we were just about 20 miles inland.
AND THEN THE ZOOM DIED ON MY CAMERA. DADGUMMIT. This is Matt crossing the stage.

I cropped them but they are very out of focus.

Congratulations to the graduate. Now the real work begins. I wish him much success! Glad you had a good trip and that you managed some very good shots of the graduation . Not all bad for sure.

What a magnificent setting for such a memorable day - those stone walls are wonderful. YES, your grandson is a handsome guy and all y'all played a part in his accomplishment. Great pics!

What an amazing feeling to witness Matt's walk! (Since I start bawling anytime they play Pomp & Circumstance, I'm not invited to many graduations.)

He and Kirsten make a beautiful couple, don't they? So glad you and Sherry were able to enjoy a great weekend.
