Grandpa,
I don't know if you remember giving me these hiking boots awhile back from your time on the AT, but I wanted you to know they're still getting some use =)
Also, now I can say I've walked a mile in your shoes! Or several miles, actually haha.
Love ya!
Josh

What a great email to get! I can imagine after you read it you had a smile from one side of the face to another one and you still smile when you read it :)

It's a joy to hear from Grandchildren. Those must have been some really good boots to be able to pass them on after walking the trail like that. How great is that !
Cutest post Ive read all day! Im old enough for grand kids but do not have any yet.

A nice e-mail and picture for sure. My youngest grandson did a nice favor for me this week.
I am late commentated don't have any grand dependants. On the blog yesterday the yellow
car was a 59 Dodge. Remember I drove one for 10 years but it was white with black fins.
I ordered it from the dealer with a special paint job. I loved that car..
Now THAT'S special ... a keeper, indeed. (Josh, too. LOL)
What a special note. A treasure to be sure.
If he takes after you and puts miles on those shoes hopefully he will love hiking. That would make a gift that keeps on giving.
