Visiting and good bys are a part of life

If you read the Shipslog you know we have had visitors.  It was Sunday morning and everyone met at the MotorHome for one of Grandma's BIG breakfasts.  This time it was Eggs, fried and some scrambled. Grits and that central NC specialty fried livermush. (Grandma Mary sent it down since she knows no one here carries the 'delicacy'). WE had strong coffee and toast.

The table:

Stella had her favorite, Grape jelly on buttered toast and whole milk.

Everyone departed the MH to the Guest house to finish packing.  We went over to say good by.

Luke and Janie have a special bond. She is Luke's dog, but she is with his dad and keeps him company here in Florida.

Good byes are said and The Grand-Loves head for North Carolina.

Sherry Just got a text, they are safe in NC after about 8 hours on the road.  It is good to know they arrived.

That brings up the subject of goodbyes. This was  good because, barring a tragedy, we will see them all again.  These were sweet good byes when you have a chance to hug each one and hear them say they had a great time and they LOVE you.

(And YOU get to say You love them)

Nite Shipslog
Luxury cars time forgot:
The Stutz, I am not sure I ever saw one in the wild, only in museums. But it was a beauty.

What a relief when you hear everyone is home safe and sound.

Lump-in-throat time, for sure! It's neat when, instead of saying "Goodbye" you can say in all honesty, "See you later!"

All this while, I thought Janie belonged to Mark! Lovin' those who love their animals. :)

Janie's bond with Luke is the same as Koda's bond with my son. Koda was son's dog, but you know the rest of the story. We "raised" him, but he always had that special bond with son.

Glad to hear all got back safely. Always a relief to hear.

Goodbyes are hard. You hope you'll see them again later, but sometimes that is not always the case.

Good byes are sweet when you know you'll probably see them again. The old song rings in my head...May God Bless you till we meet again.. The lovely memories of their visit remain long after they've returned home.
I know, as I've had some of those myself lately. Only I was the one returning home...

It's always hard for me to see my children leave to go home, but it's great they came. You have a lovely family there and you can see the love. We've been gone every since Thursday night and this is the first chance I've had to visit blogger, but hope to get around to all the others to read soon. I've not had much sleep while out of commission so I'm ready for my bed. I will try to write a blog post soon. Take care. Jean

Glad everybody had a good time. Meal looked good...and I'm bet Janie could
smell all the food. That is a long drive...and traffic is not the same when
we were travelling a lot. I don't like to get on the road anymore. So I will
be happy sitting and staying in the Historic Town.
