Historical Photo:

(Uncle Clyde (Lloyd), Uncle Doyle (Herron) and my daddy Frank Darnell) I always thought Dad & Doyle favored. All from around Toccoa, Georgia
(Shirley's death makes me think of family members long gone)

(I think I am getting slack enough to start missing my blogging…)

I just read the following information. This is a quote, author unknown. I have always knew something was askew in our political system, now this explains it:

Explaining Politics
Over the years I have noticed it is hard to understand what happens in the world of politics.  When I read this some of it started to make sense.

How the world of business, finance, and politics works:

I TOLD MY SON, "YOU WILL MARRY THE GIRL I CHOOSE."
HE SAID, "NO."

I TOLD HIM, "SHE IS BILL GATES' DAUGHTER."
HE SAID, "YES."

I CALLED BILL GATES AND SAID, "I WANT YOUR DAUGHTER TO MARRY MY SON."
BILL GATES SAID, "NO."

I TOLD BILL GATES, "MY SON IS THE CEO OF THE WORLD BANK."
BILL GATES SAID, "OK."

I CALLED THE PRESIDENT OF WORLD BANK AND ASKED HIM TO MAKE MY SON THE CEO.
HE SAID, "NO."

I TOLD HIM, "MY SON IS BILL GATES' SON-IN-LAW."
HE SAID, "OK."

AND THAT'S  EXACTLY HOW  POLITICS  WORKS.

And thus began the practice of hiring dumb asses to work in influential positions of government.
The practice is unbroken to this date..

Now I know what I suspected,  The process can NEVER be understood unless you are a part of it (Or something like that!)

I am actually going to try to get back to normal, whatever that is to us. We had a long talk with our attorney yesterday. She thinks we are certify ably coooky, and has since we quit the 'sane life' and became gypsies. She enjoys trying to keep up with us she says.
I never thought I would like an attorney, but we do like this one. We even get a hug.

Having dealt with lawyers over the years in various forms or another, it is good to have an attorney you actually like and one that gives hugs (unless she added that to the bill, LOL, only kidding). Hope you do get back to a pattern of regular blogging. Always enjoyable to read what you write here. Politics is a mess that I don't think will ever be fixed and who would dare to try to fix it anyway?

Indeed! Your dad and uncle Doyle look enough alike in this picture to be twins!
This explanation of politics is a hoot! One can't argue with that!

It's good to see you here, Jack and 'hear' the smile in your words.

My Dad always told me to never "argue" over Taxes, Religion, Politics and with a Woman, I learned the hard way as I found him right, Not much going on up here, Doctors visits, Medication, and in Hospital next Wednesday to have a procedure to see what is wrong with the stomach. Anna Mae taking good care on me ! Playing Music and Singing my Little Heart out !!! Take Care down there !! Gary an Anna Mae

I'd never heard of that definition of politics before, but it did cause a good laugh here at my house! So glad things are settling down bit and you have time to blog again.

Welcome back in any capacity. I love reading your blog. You add so much interest to our world and we thank you. We also have a lawyer we like and I wasn't sure that was possible, having dealt with a few. No one should ever have to, right~ Have a great weekend. It's raining here and some of the kids are fighting mosquitoes in the campgrounds.
loven' hugs from up north of many borders

You can tell the three men are brothers. They look alike.
I am glad that you are starting to post more.
Lawyers are critical if you have big issues.
And no one can talk about politics or their feelings here anymore.

Love, sandie

I think this is a 1958 Chevy Nomad wagon, featured.

We used to have a 1961 Chevy Nomad wagon growing up
