Governmenteze and couriers + stuff

Did you ever try to read a government document, I mean really try? You can get heart burn, and possibly get a heart attack. I have been busy trying to decipher some zoning regulations and building codes for us and my son. It has been years and I have forgotten a whole lot! At one time I spent a day at the courthouse, then to maps and charts, then back to the register of deeds. Now you can do it on line if you have the patience to wait for the complicated and huge data bases to load via cell.

One of the biggest things is to know how to ask. Okay that is all on that subject, it just is no fun, especially if you are finding out that you may be WRONG in what you think you are doing.

Everyone has problems. Oldest son and one of his sons dropped by tonight for a chat. While here he gets a call from a dispatcher. (Jack is in management in Dash Couriers) One of the drivers is 100 miles up the road on a delivery and forgot the package he is supposed to be delivering! Now this is a problem, they are known as DASH but this is going to slow down the dash. He suggested sending another driver to meet the guy on his way back to get it. I know they will work it out, but Dad, MR fixit, was about to volunteer to dash up the road to meet the dude. Nah, can’t do that. Everyone has to deal with their own problems. Mama used to say every bucket must set on its own bottom. I think that makes sense. Did to her!
Did you see the deer on Rain’s Blog. I love to see large animals in the wild.
It seems we have a go, here in NC. WE head out Sat. morning IF NOTHING HAPPENS IN THE MEAN TIME. We are going to camp at the halfway point of the Appalachian Trail. It is at ‘Pine Grove Furnace State Park’ in Pennsylvania. There is a ritual here by hikers. They try to eat a half gallon of ice cream to celebrate hiking half way. We ate a cone I think.
Thanks for heading this way to look at the log.

Please know that Regina Brett, author of 50 Life Lessons, is not 90 years old (don't feel bad - that misinformation is all over the internet), but she is indeed wise. She is actually 53 years old; she is the senior metro columnist at The Plain Dealer in Cleveland (Ohio's largest weekly newspaper); she was a finalist in both 2008 and 2009 for the Pulitzer Prize for Commentary; and she has a book based on her 50 Life Lessons coming out in April of 2010. You can check out her website by going to http://www.reginabrett.com where you will see that all I've written here is true !! Regina also recently wrote a column for The Plain Dealer about "internet aging, which you can read here: http://tinyurl.com/ktdh3a And finally, you can also read all of her past columns, including the columns nominated for the Pulitzer Prize, at http://www.cleveland.com/brett

I can't deal with government papers most of them
are to heavy to pick up. Most are legal-ease.
Whatever that means. Well if you must go I will
be here when you return.

Never heard the saying about the bucket but it does make sense. I wish you and Sherry happy hiking.

I'm not tri-lingual, only speak English and French, not legal-ease...it's like the people who started writing in that manner were trying to have a pi**ing contest! "I can make it more confusing!"..."Well, I can make it more frustrating!"...I hope you see lots of deer and fewer bears on your hike...so does Saturday mean this morning? If so BON VOYAGE!!!!!
I'll miss you both!
:-)
