It started off as a walnut, but she saw A monkey in the yard..

I went over to my sister Shirl’s house yesterday. Her printer had started speaking Greek and I hoped I could teach it to speak  English again.
Before we started, she showed me her garden.  Her garden is spread out around the house and is also decorative. She is actually growing Egg plant. I don’t think my mama ever  saw an egg plant, we did not eat it at home. I had never seen one growing. That is neat, that big purple veggie hanging.
She  gathered us some squash also. AND THEN she said, “I was working in the garden and this little guy was looking up at me, I was surprised, it was a monkey.
Shirl had brought it in and added eyebrows and a mouth.
She has a good imagination,  seeing things that can be, that also makes her  great with crafts. Anyway we taught the printer English (Accidently, somehow)  and I left.
The strangest thing happened when I came back to cut the grass here. There was the dude’s brother looking up at me. I didn’t do as good a job as Shirl, but it still surprised me to see that within an hour and it did look like a little face looking up at me. I knew Stella would like them, and of course she had to make one.

My three good-looking girls, much better than monkeys (most of the time LOL)!!100_2471
Matt and Luke returning from a job they had done for their cousin Josh.
Then we all had Spaghetti, complements of Sherry.
It was an interesting day.

PS:
It is fun to see a child use their imagination, even if it has to be stirred.  I remember Sherece (Stella’s mama) enjoying the boxes things came in as much as the article that came in it.

That is so cute with the monkey; great imagination! Yum on the spaghetti, but I think you were glad just to have all that were there there with you and Sherry :)

I've always been a sucker for boxes, too. Imagination is a wonderful thing.
Your "girls" look lovely.

Those monkey faces are adorable!
Great imaginations must run in your family, Jack.

Can't recall the last time I had eggplant, but it was de-lish!

My tomatoes are getting big. I don't know how large this eggplant
should be. Maybe I will go to the store and look at one. The deer
have been in the natural area out front, but have left the watermelon
plants alone. I have 27 cotton plants in pots on my deck. My last cotton is in a show case at Historic House. I love to watch things
grow.

We got so much rain that our garden went in late. It's doing pretty good, but we have some catching up to do.

We don't get things fresh from the garden here much before July. It must be wonderful to have some fresh squash, I do love it. I've seen several of those half walnut shells here around my house as we have a neighborhood squirrel that goes around burying them and then digging them up again. Never thought about it being a monkey face before, but yours is cute. I love the picture of the girls on the swing. Looks like you all are enjoying life down there.

What a clever fun thing to decorate nature's faces. The girls on the porch look lovely, of course.
