Loose white sand. Shery is afraid the loose sand is what done her in.
Lush green stretch.
I crossed one paved road and got to see this doe and fawn.
My first glimpse of Sand lake. The one fishing spot here. Imma thinking of bringing my gigging pole.
I didn't get much of Mr or MS Black snake, it was small.
I cannot pass up an odd tree. this one has an eye in it.
You see very little palms here for some reason but a lot of crooked Live Oaks and Pines.
I took a side trail, appeared seldom walked and was rewarded with a herd of deer feedng in the distance and hundreds of birds in a drying 'flat'.
Short walk with some beautiful sites.
Nite Shipslog
The 1957 Golden hawk, much sought after automobile.

You are right, it was a short walk, but lots to see! Let's hope Sherry's knee feels better soon so she can enjoy these with you.
betty
You had a scenic walk for sure. Sorry Sherry's knee is still not better. I did that to my knee one summer while camping in the woods and it took quite a while before it was better so I can relate. Nothing much to do but stay off of it till better.
So sorry to learn Sherry's knee is still not 100%. 'Hope she allows you to pamper her lots?
I believe the deer are one of God's most magnificent beings in the history of ever!:) To see them up close, in 'real life' must be a thrill.
Hope her knee gets better. I know you probably heard the news two girls
were killed on separate days jogging in Queen, NY. Glad you are not there.
We didn't have Church tonight so I am relaxing. Things are about the same in Belmont. We had rain and it is a little cool.
This is good. I like the pictures. Thanks for taking us along on your walk. Hope Sherrys knee feels better.
Ive heard pure cherry juice will work for knees also gelatin.
Happy trails
