Getting ready for the Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel

FACTS LITTLE CHILDREN HAVE LEARNED:

When your Mom is mad at your Dad, don't let her brush your hair.
***************   ***********

Moving soon:
When we are moving around, I always use the day before to prepare the coach for the coming trip.  You never know what might come up the morning of departure to take up your time.

We will be crossing the Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel this trip. All LP will be shut off. We I will run the generator to keep the refer cold. I am not sure if they actually check if the LP is off or take my word for it.

I am also a little in the dark as to the tolls. They seem to be from $32 to $48. It is hard to read the tolls as I look. I am sure there is a better place so it would be more specific.

We are hoping for a better signal over there but it is pretty isolated so we may be silent for a week or so.

I also made an assumption when I made the reservations. I assumed that all sights were full hook up. NOT SO. Only 15 out of the 215 sites are full hook up. The odds of drawing one of them is pretty short.  LOL

Anyway Sherry is looking forward to the trip. The CBBT is 17 miles long. The longest bridge we have ever traveled in an RV together is the 7 mile bridge Just below Marathon Key on the way to Key West..

Anyway it will be new to us in the motor home.
Nite Shipslog
Pictures of RV's that have crossed the CBBT  nothing over 13 ft. 6 in. high  is allowed.

17 miles long?!? Good grief, I thought the 7-mile bridge in the keys was amazing. What can I say? HAPPY TRAILS!

PS - Thanks for the warning about Wi-Fi. I won't go wigging out if y'all go dark for a few days.

I wish you well on this new journey. Good luck. Say hello. That area is home to me though I don't live there anymore.

I would have a very hard time on a 17 mile bridge!! But I bet the views are gorgeous if one could look at the views, LOL :) Safe travels and I hope the Internet collection is a good one; couldn't imagine going through a whole week without a post from you!

Sounds like an exciting trip for you. When going through a tunnel it's always good to see the light at the end. I've only been through a few and certainly not this one. Hope you can get a signal and keep in touch. I'd love to see some pictures. As Dale Evans said...Happy trails to you !

A 17 mile bridge - is it over water - takes your breathe away. And $38 dollar tolls - can that be true. Just be careful and you and Sherry come home to us! sandie

OK, knock me out. I'm already in a panic. Not so sure I could handle that bridge....only if it had a mountainous view....hmmmm, I wonder if there are any murals on the concrete walls. Safe travels to you as you embark on yet another exciting adventure.
love n' hugs from up north where the sun is out of sight and the fog is slowly lifting and the dew is heavy. Cucs need picking today, as well as the green beans, peas and a handful of cherry tomatoes. All in my days work.
