… Memorable car of the day:
For Wednesday:
The
walls are painted grey. I had a gallon
of light grey and it just about finished the job. I took the can lid back to Lowes and the
young lady did a good job of matching it, but $40 a gallon? OUCH! I will finish painting today. (I hope)
I took
a break and went to repair a shower and vanity sink giving trouble to my senior
friends. Something new has started. Of
course I refused pay for the parts and
work, so today I came home with a bag of washed cherries. I love cherries. We seldom buy fresh
cherries, unless they are on sale; it is an expensive fruit. There will be no cherry
pie. Sherry and I ate them all, I ate the lions share. LOL
Maybe I
have started a new trend, fruit for work!
I guess
it is time to head to Lowes and get the entry door and the finish lumber, hopefully
this afternoon.
Thanks
for the comments and readers. Life is
better.

I think that is a great bartering system, Jack! I would take cherries. I bet they were very delicious! Wow on the price of a gallon of paint!
betty
Cherries are delicious and expensive so I think you got good payment for your work.I'm sure you appreciated them more than any money they could have given you. I can't wait to see the finished basement apartment. You do get a lot done in a short time. And I know too that when you do what you love, it really isn't work at all. Glad you are feeling good !
You're having a good time, aren't you?! (*grin*)
That's cute about the cherries. I'm reminded of Mary Englebright's turn of a phrase, "Life is Just a Chair of Bowlies."
After painting my now orange computer room I can attest to expensive paint. I won't be repainting any time soon. I'm excited to see your basement finished product! I'm sure you did a great job. I love cherries too and would work for some fresh sweet ones!
