She was first

Sherry went to see her Doctor today,  She likes him but most times says, he is not a doctor, but a Dr. Assistant.  I usually comment that most times I feel I would rather see a nurse, they seem to be more realistic than a doctor anyway. LOL

I am sure my Dr doesn't read this.  LOL again.

My girl has suffered for the past couple weeks with bad pains in her hip area.  I tell her they are to pretty to hurt!!!!!

But I know she has been in much pain.  So Mr. Dr. said it is Ortho Arthritis, do not take Ibuprofen but stick with   Tylenol and watch your blood pressure.  He wants her BP records for the next two weeks, when she must go back.

She is getting a little relief.  I am helping some around here.

I get my blood work done in two days then a few days later I will see my doctor.

I can use my arm more,  not sure I will ask him about it, yet.  I don't want to tie us up with more dr. appts. LOL

We do have reservations up in Pennsylvania near Lancaster. over our anniversary and are hoping to be able to enjoy the Play at Sight and Sound  for our  68th wedding anniversary.  I think I am counting right.  We were married Sept 22, 1956.  She was the most beautiful bride in the world.  I do have a right to my opinion.  ;-),  And I have always had an eye for beauty.

 Old age

Pic of the day;

Some of my fav. pictures of my girl...

Sherry on a Rock seat, I think near Rock City,TN (not sure)

She always made a pretty picture sitting in the Grass!

 For today…

When I tell my sweetheart we are getting old, she immediately corrects me, “No Honey, we ARE OLD!”  I guess she is correct, but I think we got here awful fast!!

She emphized it this week, her hip started hurting! Along with a finger she has ‘trigger finger’ on one hand, that is when a finge locks in  the folded position. She snaps it ope in the morning and it is good until she sleeps all night and there is is again.

And she has been petting me about my sorry shoulder so we now are sort of a concert of complaints. LOL

I am here just to let y’all and the family know we are in  NC for old peoples doctors appts then hopefully on to Pennsylvania to visit friends and try to see a play at Sight and Sound. I think this year it is Daniel…

I drove the 500 mile trip using mostly my left arm, with no problems.  Stopped twice for fuel then stopped and Sherry made us a deviled egg sandwich for a lunch break.

More later I hope.

After Debbie

No major problems, just a leak or two in the RV solid 48 hours with rain.  We moved on Monday and were blessed with calm and finished taking down all hookups moving about 30 miles and found a spot in Eustis. finished  all hookups just in time to get back inside before the rain restarted.  Will sit here until time to head back to NC, when Debbie is gone to Mass and Maine.

Thanks for the thoughts and prayers...  Gotta get off here....

playing it by ear with the storm

I know you have heard this before.  We are in central Florida, once a few years ago we tried to outrun or outthink a hurricane.  We stayed just miles ahead of it into Georgia, and it caught us after it down graded to a Tropical Storm.  We later returned to our home with minor damage to the house, but the pier needed work.  We no longer have that place, but we have promised to take care of our son's place.  It is a stationary trailer which is anchored now as a home.

We are in a motor home ourselves at present.  In the next two days we must decide whether to stick with his home in Leesburg or try to out distance the coming storm.  This is an 'iffy' situation.  No one knows what this storm will do.  It appears that Key West will be hit hard, at least we do not live there anymore. SIGHHH.

My arm is a little better, but sticking around could put a strain on it.  We are headed to his house in a few minutes to see if there is anything more we can do to prepare it for the WIND/RAINs that are sure to come, just how much is the IFFY thing about it.

What we must do is decide whether to buckle up ourselves,,,,,,, OR RUN.   Not sure......  Most likely our best bet is to sit it out, BUT if the winds predicted are 110 or better, we will RUN, if the roads are open...

Will let you know when we can. STORMS do play heck with the internet, But don't worry, we will  follow the BEST route at the time....
