Today's great entry!!!!!! LOL
I left Sonny off the list for the Sitrrep on the last entry.
Presently Sonny is doing good. We have thought he was leaving us a couple times since being home, but he had bounced back. He is on dialysis three days a week. He is handling that pretty well. His biggest problem is he cannot walk. The rehab folks have him walking using a walker for a few steps. He tells me that his left leg just will not listen to him. He can raise and move it but cannot make it make a step. Anyway He is eating on his own and joking with the nurses. He even asked for a book the other day, that was a great improvement. The Rehab where he is, is actually about a mile from his son and three miles from his daughter. They have been put through the mill during the last four months. IF he remains constant we will hit the road as planned.
Now for here. We think the packs are about ready. WE ran across Sherry’s hiking pants that she slid down Mt. Katadin, the seat was worn so we put them in the garbage. “I’ll pick up a new pair at Sports Authority,” she said. LOL
At the store she about had a hemorrhage, the pants were $55 and did not fit the way she wanted. She ain’t crazy about, nor will she wear ‘low riders’. They don’t make old folks clothes anymore. Lol. You know what? Yep, to the trash can, out comes the worn ones, to be patched. LOL. Now they are patched, washed and packed. LOL FAST RECYCLE.
We have had books, maps, campground books, hiking books, New Hampshire Info, Maine info stretched thru the motor home. We have a basic attack plan, now we can’t wait to get in the woods. Hopefully I can make an entry every week or so either from the motor home or a library.
Today is Hardees day. Oh, we got tragic news today. Sherry’s Nephew (44) died yesterday. When his wife found him she had a massive heart attack. She survived, WOW. More later.
Thanks for coming this way,

How did God make mothers?
1. He used dirt, just like for the rest of us.
2. Magic plus super powers and a lot of stirring.
3. God made my mom just the same like he made me. He just used bigger parts.

I'm sorry about your nephew Sherry.
You sound so excited! Sounds like things are really coming together!
I'm so very sorry for your loss...so sad, so very young! Keeping his wife and family and of course you all in my prayers...
Glad to hear Sonny is doing somewhat better, asking to read a book etc...
HAHA...too funny about Sherry diggin the old pants out of the trash and patching them...I don't blame her $55...is insane!
Happy Trails to you two :)
Hugs

Sorry to hear about Sherry's nephew and his wife, what a shock for the family. Prayers for all. Glad to hear Sonny is holding his own. Hope he gets that leg to listen to him. Don't walk behind Sherry taking pictures of her patch...ha. Take care, Sheila
I rented the tent that you have set up to see
if it leaks. I rented it to two small people
that are here for the races this weekend. They
will be gone Tuesday. Maybe my tomatoes will
be ready by June 2.

Sorry about Sherry's nephew and hope his wife continues to recover. I was wondering about Sonny and kept forgetting to ask. Hope he continues to improve also. I agree they don't make clothes for us old people anymore. Good for Sherry figuring out how to handle that problem. lol
Just take care...be safe...and have fun...which I know you will LOL...and Sherry..I am with you...they don't make old folks clothes anymore and when I do find them...cannot afford them!!! and I am sorry for the passing of your nephew...and to hear that Sonny is doing well considering all he has been thru...and as I have said before...I envy your lifestyle...but am happy you guys have it!!! happy day...hugs...Ora
Sorry about Sherry's nephew. So young and I know how hard any death is but when young it seems even tougher. I have the same problem with clothes as Sherry. Never did wear low riders and if anyone put those on me to be buried I would probably come up out of the casket and raise cane. Jack I can tell you are chomping at the bit.
