Denise Friday, our Banker, "Hey Denise, who is watching Shirl's money???"
Yep, I thought so, So that is where she has been with the fun Girls at the First Baptist Church and she does not attend there, but she knows the FUN girls.... Hey Shirl, Denise isn't watching you money!!!
Ahhh, there is her money they are following the parade with it. Whew...... Thought it was lost.
That was our local parade. Of course not all of it. But you get the idea. As we left, Sherry says, "Parades are not the fun they used to be."
No they are not. Parades are fun if you have kids or grand kids, watching their eyes, and feeling the excitement. And now to get the candy being thrown out. For years they have said, "No one is to throw candy to the spectators, yeah right. They alldid it because it is expected.
Thanks for coming by the log,
Nite Shipslog,

Looks like fun. I love a parade especially the old cars. I was shocked that people didn't stand when the flag passed at the last parade we attended. After John and I stood a few people followed suit. Makes me so sad.
I cannot believe you took my picture. I passed
two ministers that the same question was on their minds. I can't believe I was in the back of the 1967 ford station wagon hanging on the tail gate with a sign saying FUN GIRLS with a
surf board on the top and playing beach music.
We had fun!!!!!!!!! I will speak with my banker
next week about not watching my money.
Shirl
I forgot to tell you that was Agnes driving her
new red convertible and Preston and his wife in
the parade. She is 80.
Shirl
I love all of the pictures and your descriptions especially the ones about your banker and Shirl's money. If it takes that big of an armored car to carry Shirl's stash I think I'll see if she'll adopt me as her sister. I also love the picture of Shirl in the back of the station wagon, she sure does get out and have lots of fun. What would a Christmas Parade be without candy for the kids that's part of the excitement for them.
Love & Hugs
