Make-up Mirrors Should be ILLEGAL

lighted-magnifying-makeup-mirror

A couple days ago my girl had left her make up mirror out.  You know the one. round on a pedestal,  it flips from a real mirror to the Frankenstein’s monster side.

I decided to look into it, since it does such a great job on my Sherry. I was sitting there and I could not resist. I gave it the test, “Mirror, Mirror on the table, who is fairest of the able?” It said nothing so I looked.

Now back up, In the late 1940’s or early 1950’s there was a song. That said “If you are walking along the beach, and you should see a great big box and it’s within your reach, DON’T EVER STOP TO OPEN IT UP BECAUSE MUCH TO YOUR SURPRISE YOU WILL DISCOVER A (physical knock) Knock, knock, knock right before your eyes.”

Well when I looked into that THING I gained 20 years of age. There were knots, spots, hair, holes (a little dirt) and miniature hair. There were valleys where wrinkles once lay. I even saw wrinkles I know I did not have!  It scared the xxx out of me.

I started to throw it away, but thought better of it for my own safety. But I suggest everyone else throw them away, they are intimidating.

They are probably a danger to society and should be banned.

I am disgusted at how worn out I looked, Please do not use them. They are dangerous.  I am going to suggest a national recall due to a danger to America as we know it.

Oh I hope Lucy is okay. Maybe her computer completely crashed. I was seeing her on FAcebook a little and come to think of it I haven't seen her there either. Yes those mirrows have a way of making us face the truth. I've been deleting a lot of selfies lately. lol Your nephew and his family look nice.

I was just thinking of Lucy this morning!

I never owned one of those make-up mirrors -- but any old looking glass can cause me to cringe. Yup, I'm THAT lady who didn't take good care, and might well serve as a warning to others. Someone has to do it, right?! :)

Please re-think about having the
mirrors recalled. I need mine to
make myself look presentable.
We can't stand up anymore and use
those mirrors they are to far away.

Glad you met Tony we are all getting
older guess we need to have more
visits before we get to old.

Where is Lucy by the way?

Too late I already have one of those mirrors and have seen the truth.

You know, I think Grandpa had a mirror that was magnified on one side; he used it for shaving. It was fun to look at when we were kids.

Those makeup mirrors are like the mirrors you see at fun houses that make you look too big or too small or too skinny or too fat. They are to be avoided at all costs :)

I miss Lucy and I hope she's okay, and gets back on soon. I have a smaller makeup mirror, I need a large one, ha.

makeup mirrors expose the truth that's for sure. Scary as it is. I've been wondering what happened to Lucy too???? Anybody know?

I'm with you, every time I look in the mirror I see a stranger, but then I smile and she always smiles back so maybe she's ok.

I have one of those mirrors and use it every now and then. And of course you're right...it reveals EVERYTHING...leaving nothing to the imagination. Actually though it's not as bad as the "camera" I have on my Kindle which shows all the wrinkles, etc. but also makes everything look GRAY...skin included :) Talk about "death warmed over" :)
