What a summer, time to head south

A lot has happened in this household this summer. WE made a whirlwind trip Thru St. Louis and the arch then to the Corn Palace, Badlands, Rushmore, Crazy Horse, Sturgis,Pike’s peak and Dodge City to see Matt and Miss Kitty.

Then we parked the Motor home drove the FIT to Florida for Sherry’s eye exam, then back to Durham for the operation to implant the Cochlear device.  While the Implant was healing we attended Sherry’s 59th class reunion.  Then we celebrated our 59th wedding anniversary.  We returned to Durham to have Ms. Doctor turn on the implant.  And YES, I am noticing more and more that I am hearing.  This has been wonderful, and it isn’t even Christmas yet!

I mentioned TIME in the last post.  It seemed like this summer was going to be a long drawn out process, but here it is October, all the above is behind us and I can hear these keys of  the keyboard and smile.

I have had several conversations with son Mark, and understood him. Son Mark was the least tolerant (without meaning to be) of all the family when it came to my hearing. It was amazing too, because he worked for me for years, the best worker I have ever had and we got along wonderfully. I am sure he expected the communications to continue as it did when we were building together.  Anyway, YES I am a happy camper, it has been a good summer.

We may be on the road south as you read this. We always over night in South Carolina, then head for Wildwood. I am anxious to see if Sherry and I can communicate as we ride in the motor home.
