Seasonal reminder

The Christmas season is over and a new year has arrived. I Hope you didn’t forget to set your bathroom scale back 10 pounds on January first.
OUCH!

I mentioned that I have lost about 19 pounds in the past few months. The love handles are still there for my girl to grab and my belly is still there (maybe a little less, but still noticeable.) But the biggest surprise to me was I had a fat head.  I didn’t know that.

Last year I had Cochlear implants. The Dr. Lady did an amazing job. The implant area was hardly noticeable. After the incision, the Doctor, removed (cups outs) fatty tissue next to the skull so the patient will not have a noticeable ‘BUMP’.   BUT, but I must have lost 5 lbs of fat off my head. Being bald I can easily notice it. You can almost see the implant shapes now and I can feel them.  And it is harder to shave what little hair I have left growing up there. LOL

I am sitting at 150 pounds (I saw 149 yesterday). I feel good, the dizziness I experienced went away, but now is back but this time it is mild.  I have skipped my regular 10-15 minute evening exercise now for a few months. I hope to get back to it soon. We have been pretty regular with our evening walks.

I just thought I should remind you to set your scales back. LOL

PS:
The last hog my dad raised, a Berkshire,  dressed out at a little over 500 lbs. Mostly fat for soap and lard. I was beginning to feel like him. LOL

LOL, I don't even have a scale so nothing to set behind or ahead :) That is good with your weight loss except now being able to see where the cochlear implants went (maybe good to continue to wear a hat?) Maybe the dizziness is caused a bit from being dehydrated? Drinking enough fluids?

I am glad to hear the dizziness you experienced has gone away. Feeling better is more important than worrying about weight.

I don't own any scales either, but my clothes still fit so that means I'm pretty much staying the same. I have for quite a few years now and that's fine with me. It's when they don't fit that bothers me. I never thought about having a fat head, but it's true my face is fuller than what it was.20 years ago. Ha! Take good care and hope you two enjoy a Happy Sunday!

Well glad the dizziness has stopped. I am going to do better than set my scales
back..I am going to put a note on them saying "out-of-order". If I can keep my
weight where it is I will be OK.

19 pounds? That's amazing, Jack!
Unfortunately, I've a love/hate relationship with my bathroom scales -- even to the point of weighing myself 2-3 times a day. (Pathetic, yes.)

So glad to learn the dizzy spells have abated. Be GOOD to yourself!

You've become one long lean working machine. Do take care to still eat right, drink for hydration and continue the walks. Life is good down there and it's always uplifting reading about it. Hug your lovely bride for me. I miss you guys. As for that bathroom scale, ...... hmmmm, what scale? Mine isn't agreeing with me lately.
loveya'll from up north where, today, the sun shines bright and the temperature is rising. Gotta loveit

I noticed you were looking thin and fit in your photos. Congratulations! I gained 5 lbs over the holidays and Still working on getting it off. Then the snow came and I been stuck inside, and, well, you know how that goes. Ill get back on track tomorrow. At least I know the trick to loosing it.

Congratulations on the weight loss. I didn't know I was so fat until I recently lost over thirty pounds. Not bragging, I didn't do anything to lose it.

Paula above said she wasn't bragging.. I've noticed that you & Paula never brag...I used to on occasion, but on my new blog there is not anything to brag about in my life anymore! That may be better, in some ways.

I'd thought you were getting too thin, Jack, but it appears you have it under control & are just getting in good shape. Clothes can be deceiving.
