Little
known facts:
.... San Francisco cable cars are the only National
Monuments that can move.
.... Nutmeg is extremely poisonous if injected
intravenously.
.... A rainbow can be seen only in the
morning or late afternoon. It can occur only when the sun is 40 degrees or less
above the horizon.
My pot of Gold! (Taken on our pier on Lake Dora)
*************** ****************
In my
mind I ‘think’ I have seen a rainbow in the morning. But my mind plays tricks on me. LOL
I am told I am beginning to
tell the same stories over and over again like an old man who is edging on
dementia. Hey, I may be. We are told we look healthy for our age, but
no one can see your thinking processes. I’ve been told all my life, “Always tell the
truth and you won’t have to remember everything.” I have fudged a few times in my life but
those things don’t need to be remembered anyway, do they?
Anyway,
even telling the truth, my mind doesn’t remember the times I have repeated the truth. I don’t have that many interesting
stories, so I am sure I repeat myself. I now have started the habit (when I
remember) to ask have I told you this story before? Just a little after I have started it.
I just
read of a couple who wrote a best seller on marriage after being married 10
years. Now after 25 years they are in divorce court. It is so hard to know it all like me! LOL
I am
learning daily. Awhile back I learned when I am typing like this and delete
something I have typed I can press ‘Ctrl and z and get it back. That has saved
me a lot. Just yesterday I read that if
I backed up to far I could use “Ctrl and y”, and go forward, but that hasn’t worked for me.
Also
when I go to my pictures they look like this:
Something
new on my computer displays. In MY
Pictures I now have a Blue square on every picture. It does not print of course. Does anyone know
how to get rid of the Blue square with the two “>> “ in it? When I am trying to locate a certain picture
the little square covers most of the picture?
About
marriage. Sherry says if I continue to be good, she is gonna keep me another few months to make it 61 years. So I B happy! (Imma try to be good!)

Can't help with the computer problem, wish I could. Now I'm trying to remember when I saw rainbows.
Not that I'm an expert, but I think if you tell the same story over the course of say a weekend and its like the first time you've told it, then you may have a bit of a memory problem. But if it is a story you tell perhaps every so often with a group of friends, I wouldn't worry about it. In retrospect when thinking back about hubby's mom and the start of her sad downhill course of end of life issues, once when we visited she told us the same story about a special student of hers. It was over the course of a weekend and it was always like she hadn't told us before. We didn't think much of it until later.
I'm thinking you might be doing just fine if Sherry wants to keep you around to celebrate 61 years!
betty
you're in great shape since sherry wants to keep you around to celebrate 61st anniversary. my husband is your age and he often repeats his stories and so do i.
Didn't know the fact about rainbows. I thought they could occur whenever the rain and sunshine were both present? Hope that the info Lisa gave you helped with your photo problem. I've never had that happen. But then every day is something new with computers it seems. Glad your girl is keeping you around. It's for sure she is a keeper!
I never heard of those blue overlays ... how annoying! But, I'm anxious to try those CTRL-z and CTRL-y tricks.
I've a feeling Sherry doesn't say anything she doesn't mean ... so that's a GOOD thing! Beautiful picture of a beautiful lady!
You have a ton of interesting stories to tell and I enjoy every one of them. Somehow, I misplaced the conversation I was just writing,.....couldn't tell you why or how. I forget things too and repeat myself but I'm just a mess.~!
Sherry sure illuminates that rainbow. I have seen many in the evening but only one in the morning. Very interesting, now I know why. Bill and I have been replanting, hula-hoeing and cultivating, trying to stay ahead of the rain that just keeps coming. It's been such a weird weather system again.
