Now is Florida for a few days

 Little known facts
1.. The female mosquito is the only one that bites.
2.  The Dolphin sleeps with ne eye

In Florida
WE did leave Belmont this AM and drove the 500+ miles to Deltona, FL. Was met and hugged by neighbors who thought we were back for good.  They aren't used to seeing folks buy here, stay the winter, leave and come back before the next winter.

Anyway the place looks good. Jack, Ben and Elsie are settled in the house. Sherry is already sleep reading and I am tired.

The traffic was tough today, especially in South Carolina for some reason. But we did not have any real problem.  I drove, everyone else enjoyed OLD family movies. They watched 4 dvd's of movies.  They laughed and carried on something terrible.  I am amazed how long the DVD's are and I made them from VHS and 8mm.  I do remember taking days to do it.

Sherry didn't remember a lot of them and now wants us to go back and review them, I am looking forward to it.

Now I am headed for bed.

Nite Shipslog

The Edsel was a marketing or production mistake, But collectors love them.

I guess you all are what we call snow birds. Traveling south in the winter, but then you aren't very far north at all in NC. Way up north here we have snow birds that come in late winter when it starts warming up. Real birds that come down from Canada to enjoy our warmth. Nice one way or the other to be able to travel as the wind blows so to speak. Here I'm pretty much set in place. Glad you had a good trip!

I recently had my parent's old 8mm movies digitized. Wasn't inexpensive .... then again there's something to leave my granddarlings.

That's pretty neat about your neighbors welcoming you back with hugs and cheer! Ya, it seems you happened on a nice neighborhood.

So glad your trip went well considering traffic. It sounds like the GrandLoves had so much fun watching your family ' history ' DVD's. Such sweet memories you've created. I also have soooo many VHS family stuff to transfer. I have the machine to do it but haven't the time lately.
Like 'MA' this gal prefers to stay 'set in place.' We did go to a papermill millwright dept picnic Sat. It was mostly us retirees but so much fun to reconnect with Bill's work crew. Have a great time showing the kids the beach and where you live part-time.
love n' hugs from up north where a big storm is a-brewing~~~~~~~~~~~~
