A truth some Adults have learned:
***Today's mighty oak is
just yesterday's nut that held its ground.

Shore of Virginia…

When you are headed to
your lover you ain’t sightseeing, so I didn’t pay much attention to the
area. When you are separated from loved
ones and heading to see them, you do become destination orientated. LOL
Last night Sherry and I sat
and had a good talk about our lives. It has been different, that is for sure.
Many times I tell her how much I appreciate the fact, SHE STUCK WITH ME.
Travels: She traveled to the
early childhood home of her mama in Eastern NC at a child. And a couple times
to Burlington, NC to see friends. She went to the beach with her brother Lefty.
But she was born and lived in the same town until she was 18 and we married.
At that time we started
traveling. WE have lived in this Motor
home longer than we have ever lived in a house. Looking back, Belmont, NC was
her life. I have no real connections to school mates but she still sees friends
from her 1st to 12th grades, when we pass through NC. You must have love and respect for a girl who
gives up her way of life and adopts yours.
She has followed me over a
lot of the world, she has even visited several countries without me. Together
we have been in most Provinces of Canada, some of Mexico, over 26 other countries
and all 50 states.
She told me again last nite that she
has not regretted it, and the cutie still loves me. I am a LUCKY
GUY.

Methinks it's pretty neat how you and Sherry have your 'good talks'! (Too often, we're prone to go off on another's perceived tone of voice or something equally ridiculous.) I believe good friends will always be there, regardless of distance. Sherry knew that. God bless y'all!
you are a lucky guy, indeed.
Your and Sherry's love/lives together are truly an inspiration wanted by all but achieved by few. What a wild adventure it has been and will continue to be!

What a sweet post. You both are lucky to have each other. Nick is the opposite. He does not care to travel places. On the other hand, Id love to travel. Maybe fly, but still visit. God made a great big world for us to enjoy. I do not think he intended us to stay in one place. So much beauty, wonder and awe out there.
Well, ok, that bridge? I could skip. Haha

The two of you are very blessed and to have so many years together makes it doubly so. It's amazing what whet one sees when they aren't destination oriented so it's great that you are having a second chance to do so.
It is amazing how we have one track minds when heading home to our loved ones. We just want to get there, especially when we hadn't seen them in a while.
Love does concur all. It's been God's will for the two of you to have had such a wonderful life together. You deserve every bit of joy you've had together.
love n' hugs from up north...where I canned 30 qts. of sauerkraut today and still have the last of the green and yellow beans in the canner...another 21 qts. Our entire family will eat well this winter and all the grandloves too.
