Arrived in North Carolina

Trucks of beauty
 1919 Nash

I drove straight thru from Florida to North Carolina. We stopped at the South CArolina welcome center rest area,  ate a tomato sandwich, stretched our legs walking around the parking area. Nice balmy 75 degrees and clear skies. I began to hope the weather forecast for Belmont was a mistake. Then cranked up the diesel and finished the trip.

I unloaded the car of 'stuff' we brought back from the house in Florida.

OH yeah,  and just like that, there was 'Stormy' the black feral cat. I had some feed for her and she let me pet her. she loves to have her head rubbed.  We visited twice  before she faded into the darkness.  I even invited her into the house, but she would have none of that. "That is for sissies!" she seemed to say.   Of course she might have thought, 'if I ever go in, I may never come back out!'

Anyway we had a good visit with our Granddaughter Sherece, now it is time to call it a night.

From a chilly rainy North Carolina.

Going from sunny and warm to rain and chilly is not easy, of course the whole reason for the trip isn't an easy one either. Glad you had a welcoming committee there. and a visit with with your granddaughter too. No matter what there is some good to be found in every day!

Love and hugs,
'ma'

We have had so much rain here! I do not like to complain about what God is doing but I will complain that I don’t have any rain boots to play in the puddles.

Welcome back Neighbor

Color me curious … and a bit surprised. Before consulting Google, I thought your drive would be much longer. Shows you what I (don't) know about our eastern United States!
Glad to hear Stormy's still in fine form! Wish I could send some of our WARM temps your way!
