Just wanted to add a picture. This is Mark David and his youngest son Luke Vegas. Oh and me of course the chubby one.

This is a time when traveling and living away is not fun. When someone you really care about is sick or dying. I hate death predictions, i.e. He has about six months to live or We give her a year on the outside. Now you want to know, but you want to hear much longer times, you hope to hear five years etc. not months or weeks. We all know this actually means very little. Some folks given the estimate of six weeks have lived a year and vice versa, folks given the estimate of six months to a year, may die in six weeks.
YOU know it is something like the weather man. We know he does not KNOW what the weather is going to be, but we get mad when he is wrong. It is the same with me and doctors. I know they cannot really tell how long a person has to live, but I get upset when they are wrong and it is shorter than they predicted. Somehow I think, HE SHOULD HAVE KNOWN (but I know he tried).
Anyway it is like this about our friend. I really want to see her smile once again. I want to hear her say, ‘your buddy was here,’ and I will know she is talking about her brother Sam. I did just get an e-mail from Shirl that was positive. Something they thought was serious (aside from the cancer diagnosis) was not. It is good to hear some positive, isn’t it?
On a much more serious note, LOL, I don’t mind some Indian names. But the address here at Hillsborough River is the town of Thonotosassa, FL. Now our dear friend Bishop Carter was born here. He moved away because he could neither spell nor pronounce it. LOL (just kidding Wayne).
WE went down to see our good friend Judy from up torge Milbridge, Maine. She now lives further South near her family. Lovely lady. Had a great time. I love to sit and listen to Judy talk, I love that Maine accent. My girl and I will be separated for the longest period we have in years. She is going back down to hang out with Judy in St. Pete. I know she dreads the Tampa Traffic. She will drive through Tampa and across Tampa Bay and back.
I will stay here and play in the woods.
Nite shipslog
PS:

As I am posting this, I got a call from my girl and after a lot of yelling, she has a flat, can you believe the first time she is that far away, anyway some friends are following her to tire kingdom.

The importance of exercise…..
*********************************
I do have flabby thighs, but fortunately my stomach covers them.
*********************************
The advantage of exercising every day is so when you die, they'll say, 'Well, he looks good doesn't he.'
*********************************
If you are going to try cross-country skiing, start with a small country.
*********************************
I know I got a lot of exercise the last few years,... just getting over the hill.

Being a woman,I hate driving alone long distance. So sorry your honey got a flat tire.

And, I'm praying for your friend. There are some things in life we just don't have control over............so sad.

I know Sherry is calmly getting the tire fixed.
That is the reason I don't like traveling alone.
Came by Louise after working at the Historic
House for 4 hours. She was asleep but another
bad day. It is so sad. Hope Sherry get home
OK.

I'll keep your friend in my prayers. I remember the doctors telling us that my dad only had weeks to live. That was until he learned I was pregnant with his first grandchild! He lived a few years astounding the doctors.

Poor Sherry...I don't drive anywhere that I'm not familiar with...I always let someone else drive and I become the backseat driver as Jeff likes to call me...HAHA! If I wasn't the backseat driver he would have tons of tickets I say! :)

Hope Sherry gets home safely...have fun playing in the woods...

Keeping your friend in my prayers...it is so hard seeing those we love and are dear to us suffering...and knowing eventually they will leave us behind hurts beyond words...

Big Hugs to all of you!

My sister didn't ask her doctor how long he thought she had to live so he didn't do any predicting. She said she chose not to ask that way there would be no "what if's" but well ya know there are always what if's in situations like that.

Oh no, I hope it wasn't the tire you worked so hard to plug. I feel for Sherry having a flat out on the road. I used to be able to change a flat but I doubt if I could now.
