This was an interesting place, Lickdale, PA. This place had everything, if you could have found it. You have to click to see it to tellanything about ther picture.
Today's entry.................
We finally got out to walk after two weeks of solitary confinement. WE walked about four miles, could have been three. The RV park is fairly full, of course this is the peak season for us Snow Birds. We come in all different types of RV’s from the old tag along travel trailers to the spiffy new fifth wheels with four slide outs. Motor Homes the same from the old hand brushed Coachmen to the million dollar Prevost. Every once in awhile we have a tent or two come by here, but not many. We see those in the State parks we visit.
WE have a lot of walkers to stay fit, and some who ride bikes. Today a lady passed us on a scooter with her dog riding up front enjoying the wind at 10mph. She was out giving him his exercise. We have a lot of dog walkers, all with the plastic bags or pooper scoopers. Most folks clean up after their dogs.
Did I tell you once I saw a lady walking her bird? She said she was trying to teach it to poop on the ground not on her shoulder. I guess you don’t have to pick up bird poop, she didn’t have the plastic bag. She did have a towel for her shoulder though.
We saw a loose dog. The Host asked the man to put it up or on a leash. When he went to get the leash his cat ran out. The next time around the dog was in the pen and the man was out still looking for his cat. He asked had we seen it. Sorry.
And you always have the few folks who do not think the leash rule is for their cute dog. He is so well trained he doesn’t need a leash. Then he takes off after someone else’s dog.
Some RV’s have beautiful murals painted on them. The best of these are usually the Safari Motor home line. They usually have a beautiful animal on the rear of the coach. We met one couple from Tennessee who raced trotters. They had a personalized mural of one of their trotters on the rear of their nice coach.
RV parks have a way of leveling everyone out. The rich and the ones who come down on a shoe string. We all enjoy each other’s company. Everyone is friendly. You might sit beside a millionaire in church, but you would never know it.
I will say this, these are the first church services in years that I have attended that you have to come early to get a front seat!!!! We are usually just on time, and have to sit at the REAR!
Thanks for reading this trivia,

PS:
WHAT IS A GRANDPARENT? (Taken from papers written by a class of 8-year-olds)A 6 YEAR OLD WAS ASKED WHERE HIS GRANDMA LIVED. ''OH,'' HE SAID, '' SHE LIVES AT THE AIRPORT AND WHEN WE WANT HER WE JUST GO GET HER. THEN WHEN WE'RE DONE HAVING HER VISIT, WE TAKE HER BACK TO THE AIRPORT.'' It's funny when they bend over, you hear gas leaks and they blame their dog.'

While I amm here I will say I think after the last few days I envy both of you. It would be so nice to be able to get out of reach of the kids for A while. Thank you for taking me away with your blog and your books.
I hope the guy found his cat. Teaching a bird to go potty in the grass instead of on her shoulder, seems a little out of reach...ha. I wish her luck. Have a great day, Sheila
I hope she is having luck teaching the bird to
potty outside. If the bird gets tired and she
puts it back on her shoulder that is the same as
scooping poop. Would hate to wash the towel. Our weather is in the 70's. Back to 50's next
week. Glad you are both back amoung the living.
Now stay out of the places that have germs.

Rags arrived in my mail today. Thank you and I will try to get a check in the mail tomorrow or next day. Looking forward to reading it slowly as usual.
I think traveling in a motorhome is so exciting and interesting and I love to hear(read) you talking about it...
Happy Valentines Day!
Hugs
Terri
