I normally do not say much about comments (until recentyly, ha!) But I have enjoyed the comments lately on names and the satire and comical statements following my entry. I do appreciate the comments, Sherry does also. She will be laughing, “Did you read _____’s comment yet?”

(We ain't even talking about Fred's comment about 'Harry Butts'!!! hahahahaha!)

In my many years living I have found one fact, I think it is indisputable, “Women are harder and more judgmental of other women than men are." I mean, women are MEAN to other women. In Washington DC, I once had a real job; I was the supervisor of forty people; thirty seven women and three men. Let me tell you folks Women are vicious. They can cut their sisters down in a heartbeat. I spent a lot of time soothing hurt feelings concerning important things like, ‘Mary said something about Jane’. Of the 37 women I had three or four who were head and shoulders above the rest. They produced and never took pot shots at their sisters. Hey folks those odds aren’t good. Four out of 37.

Something else I have discovered, a man can work for a woman, but a woman cannot (usually). As a rule a woman has no problem working for a man. Wonder why that is?
Notice I have a lot of questions and not many answers. That is why I am no longer a supervisor, I quit.
I remember the first time I had a female sailor work for me. I asked the ‘Old Man’ if he had any instructions for me regarding Waves. His answer was, “Treat them like you do any other sailor!”
Within a month I was in his office telling him it was impossible. I had a Seaman call me ‘Chiefie’, when I explained to her I was her ‘Chief’. She began to cry. That’s when I learned you cannot order a girl to stop crying. When I told the Old man that, he said, “Do the best you can, but don’t make any more of your women cry.”
Thanks a lot. (It happened only one more time while I was in Washington, a good story, later maybe).

PS:
Once you're in heaven, do you get stuck wearing the clothes you were buried in for eternity?
(Sherry I prefer a short sleeve shirt and jeans. I’m planning on being n the right place for weather.)

It is odd how we all want to see our loved ones dressed nice in their coffin. Some people go out and buy a special outfit for their loved ones last appearance. I live in sweats all winter and summer the lightest thing, no matter how it looks. I am going to specify NO SHOES, no matter what the undertaker says. You are so right about comments. I have read some really funny one's on your comment section and sometimes it is how they happen to pop up on your list of comments.

TO SHERRY AND JACK, IT TOOK ME A WHILE TO DISCOVER THAT WHAT I THOT WAS COMPLIMENTS FROM ONE FEMALE TO ANOTHER WAS REALLY 'PUT DOWNS'.
THIS DURING MY FIRST FEW YEARS OF MARRIAGE.
MARY JANE WOULD LAUGH AND SAY, DID YOU REALLY THINK THAT WAS A COMPLIMENT ?
MARY JANE WAS ONE OUT OF THE FOUR OUT OF THIRTY SEVEN THAT WERE CIVIL AND FAIR. IF ANY BEGAN TO GOSSIP TO MARY JANE, SHE WOULD SAY, LET'S FIRST TELL ABOUT OURSELVES. LUCKY ME TO HAVE HER. SHE COULD SPOT A PHONEY A MILE AWAY.(FEMALE THAT IS). NOT SO WITH MEN THOUGH. sam

Is this entry against women LOL? Think I should make an entry against Men? Nah! Say what you want to, my skin in old and tough. By the way a man doesn't want a woman for his boss. At least at work, he will almost have to accept it at home ha ha ha ha. Helen

I think Women are more aware of what goes on around them. Men don't pay any attention.
You are right we can be vicious. But we are sweet and need to be excused unless we are real tacky.

I'm hoping I was one of the reasonable gals amongst gals...however, I have been known to 'shoot from the hip'.....on occasion...my sis who just returned from vaca...(not saying who)...taught me that when my X stomped all over me...I guess you'd call it survival...
and NO Jack, your clothes rot away just like the bod...only thing going with you to heaven is your Soul...BlessYa along with your Good Woman

I'm glad Dar straightened us out on that subject. I wear jeans 95% or the time and I'm afraid they are going to gussy me up.

totally agree with you about women being vicious against other women. That was one tough job supervising all those women! I have to say that is one of the best advantages of working at home, don't have to get involved with office politics, etc. I bet you are glad you are retired :)

How interesting to read, as I did ask getting buried with the clothes I did wear while getting married, before I say yes, though.

A wonderful Wednesday for you two. Nearly five in the morning, please excuse the few words, yet this entry of yours kept me awake and smiling, thank you.

I hope you didn't have to sleep with one eye open...since you do share a home with a woman... :) Take care, Sheila

Hey there Stymie and Sherry ~ hows it going? Jack, you remind me of Stymie on The Little Rascals! LOL and this scene in the clubhouse:

I... Stymie... Member in good standing of the He-Man Woman Haters Club... Do solemnly swear to be a he-man and hate women and not play with them or talk to them unless I have to. And especially: never fall in love, and if I do may I die slowly and painfully and suffer for hours - or until I scream bloody murder.
~~~
It's good to be back home and blogging again. I must admit though I was shocked...SHOCKED to see you picking on Mel. When I first read the post I thought you were talking about ME! Then it dawned on me... I wasn't even here!! LOL We Mel's have to stick together!!
~~~
Sherry... you keep a tight rein on Chiefie and if he ever makes you cry; you just hollar and I'll set him straight. :)Have a great day you little love birds!!

I recall many cat fights in the office! Yikes, so true...a woman can work for a man but not as easy to take orders from another woman for some strange reason. Women supervisors have a tendency to have an attitude when giving orders for some reason. Sad.

So, you made women cry? LOL I didn't think that kind sole of yours was capable of creating tears to another individual????? hehehehheheheh

Good Post

Hugs, Rose

Shirl nailed it, most men really are clueless.
Now, Jack that doesn't mean you, we all know you
are sensitive, thoughtful and caring. (Don't we?) The rivalry that women get caught up in is something men typically avoid. MOST men would rather pick up the sport pages or turn the conversation to the next game. They get out their gun, fishing pole or golf clubs and they're happy :)
