Thankful!

There is so much to be thankful for in this life and I must be careful, or I will forget it.

I am thankful for a warm place to sleep in the winter and a cool place to sleep in the summer.

And I am THANKFUL…..

1. that I am happy living in a small space. We own a nice home, but we chose lease it out. To be honest there is enough for us to keep clean in this 342 sqft on wheels.

2. for a wife who feels the same way.

3. we both have good health.

4. for the health of our children and grand children.

5. Ahhh, friends. Friends make the world go around smoothly. I never had a pen pal as a kid, but now with the advent of the internet, we have many ‘pen pals’,( 21st century style). And we don’t even have to use a stamp. OH YES, and thankful and happy to have met many of the ‘pen pals’ now in person, adding greatly to the thrills of living the good life.

6. I have some friendships that started in the 1950’s and last until today.

7. for a wonderful extended family. I am fortunate to still have my sister Shirl, we are the only siblings remaining. Every once in awhile we will say, “We are all that is left!”

8. That Life is good. Like everyone in this world there are some bad things that happen in our lives, but the good out weighs the bad.

9. That we have enough money to pay our bills and furnish us with food and even extra to eat out. I am thankful we can afford the diesel fuel to push our home across this beautiful country. I am extremely thankful we are fit to enjoy it.

And then there is Death, I am fortunate that of all the deaths I have known, none suffered a terrible agonizing death.

Then the date of June first,(Just past) that was the birthday of Josh & Steve. The only twins in our family, YEAH, I guess we are thankful for them. LOL

There are probably a million other things I am thankful for, but this is a few.

Thanks for reading this stuff.

PS:

You can count sheep, or you can count blessings. If you are an insomniac you will run out of sheep and have to go to goats. BUT…… There was a song that said, “You will fall asleep counting your blessings.”

And may your blessings continue when you come to the end of the road and pass through the gates of that new city where the source of all blessing resides! I'm so happy to know that You are blessed in this life. You deserve it for the kind things you have done and continue to do for others. You two are very special people!

Hey Jack and Sherry, you were right on with this entry. I complain about some of the smallest stuff and than when someone I hear or see that is in so many ways, it makes me thankful that so far I am in sync with my heart and Joe will find the right water pump for our car. I am thankful that I had 5 kids, even if one died and the other wants nothing to do with me, I still love him and it won't end. I am doubly thankful for Ron and Kathy. They are our lifeline if we need help. I am thankful that you have Shirl and I wish I had just one sibling left. Thank you for this wonderful post and all your encouraging words over the years You and Sherry are a pleasure to know and I so feel I know my bloggers.

Forgot to tell you I replaced the cantelope plant
Mr. Rabbit ate the whole thing that is the third one. I don't think I am thankful for rabbits.

Wonderful entry Jack. You and Sherry have become a part of my day. I am thankful for you two and the rest of my blogger friends. Thanks for sending Fred to visit. He has inspired me over and over without even knowing it. Family is a wonderful comfort even when they give us grief, all comes out good in the end. I'm particularly grateful for my God and all His children.
BlessYourHearts You are truly devout Christians that I am so thankful to have gotten to become 'pen pals' with. Thanks for the many hugs from SC to WI Love you both

YES,
JACK AND SHERRY, SO MANY THINGS TO THANK OUR LORD FOR.
SO MANY 'RESCUES' INVOLVING A SENT ANGEL.

I had somewhere around 50 pen pals as a teenager. I mailed 5 to 10 letters per day. Blogging is easier. I write one letter to anyone that cares to read it.

I am grateful that I have the means to enjoy a little more time off before I have to find another job. I am also grateful for the health of my daughter. Life is much more pleasant when we focus on what is right instead of what is not.

Jack...I thought I'd come here to comment on your comment on my entry...you said about the fern having a box of jewels on it's under side...my dear, just to clear things up, those nearly microscopic reproductive cells are called spores. It's the cause of my fern bed getting a bit out of control. LOL...I love your description much better tho. Have a great day dear ones. Dar
