DAy II of Sherry

More pictures from last night's celebration of Sherry's Birthday. Above is L. Vegas.
That is Matt.

The lovely Sherece!

MJ (Mary Jane). She is unique she is deaf, a lot like her grandpa!

Tonight's exciting (?) news.

Well all of a sudden Blogger tells me I have successfully entered an entry. Funny thing I only put in the title.

Sherry's Brother Vernon Gomez and his wife Janet met us for supper at the Captain's Cap. We had a fish dinner, I had Oyster STew, I love it. I seldom have it now that I know I have the clorestoral (I hate spelling that word) problem.

Anyway we have had another great day here on the plantation. I got one of the 4 wheelers running today. Having never been on one of the beasts I needed to move it about ten feet. Once I started I could not stop it or figure where the clutch was. Thankfully Mark has twelve acres to help me find a stopping place. No one saw me, so I am safe. I am sure I looked like the new kid trying to learn to skate. LOL Glad my buddy Tuck was not here He would have got a good laugh. It looks like he was born to ride anything from horses to rockets (and does).
When Mark came home I asked about the clutch, "Oh it does not have one, it is an automatic transmission!"
I did not tell him why I wanted to know! LOL

I got Big red (the IH tractor) out of the field today, it is running (NO brakes yet, Mark says that is no porblem, HAHAHA!)

Thanks for coming by the log,

Nite Shipslog

PS:
A grandmother was telling her little granddaughter what her own childhood was like: "We used to skate outside on a pond. I had a swing made from a tire; it hung from a tree in our front yard. We rode our pony. We picked wild raspberries in the woods."

The little girl was wide-eyed, taking this all in. At last she said, "I sure wish I'd gotten to know you sooner!"

Well, I don't know about Tuck but me & Gary sure got a good laugh just reading about your little adventure on the 4 wheeler, hahahaha. Gary said to tell ya, "brakes are for sissies!" That's what he told my brother when he sold him an old tractor several years ago, when my brother was loading it on the trailer it went rolling off backwards, lol. Seriously, I'm glad you got the 4 wheeler & the tractor stopped without getting injured or worse.

Love & Hugs
Debbie

I wish I could have seen that wild 4 wheeler drive. Glad that you somehow got it stopped without getting hurt. Great pictures. I like MJ. Helen

Jack I would have given almost anything to see you running around those 12 acres trying to stop. Don't forget , you and Joe can make most things work. Like before I met Joe and he still drank alcohol of all kinds and he missed a curve and went down a steep embankment , through a fence and into a farmers pond and then tried to drive out. His boss had a wrecker and they went and found the car, towed it out and Joe drove it back to town, sober but hungover. It was a 1962 Ford Falcon and he drove it for 22 years. He also stopped drinking not long after I met him. He has said many times the best thing he ever did was stop drinking, and believe me I knew it was.

Happy Belated birthday to Sherry.

Do you mean the ATVs when you were referring to the four wheelers? My daughter and her husband have one. I think they are dangerous. They went up the White Mountains or Mount Washington Mountain with that darn thing. My brain is fried this morning. That super steep mountain.......frightful!

I know they are waiting for the snow to go on the snowmobiles.

My daughter did not take after me! LOL
