Introduction to Kotex

I love life some days more than others, but I still love life. Right now we are donating a lot of labor here at son #2’s house. Yes the Pool is ready, just need a few more degrees( maybe 20) and we can swim. I put up a fence to ward off the dog (MJ) from the garden. We didn’t plant the garden. Mark and the guy who works for him did, but MJ likes to run in and out of it. Now she can’t.

The pool is crystal clear now. There was a major leak in the pool one night it lost about ten inches of water. The major leak has been fixed, but I believe there is a smaller one somewhere. We have been having rain, so it is hard to judge the loss. I will need to get in the water and locate the other leaks, if any. Did you know you can patch these liner pools with the water still in them? Well Don was talking the other day and told me how to do it. That was fortunate because when I found the leak I knew exactly how to patch it. Good friend, good advice.

Jen over at ‘starting over’ said in her blog, she might consider getting married again if she found a man who would not be embarrassed to purchase Tampons (Or some words to that affect). It reminded me of an embarrassing incident when I was about six years old. (Yeah Lucy I can remember back that far! LOL). My sister in law Ruth had came to live with us for a few weeks while my Brother Odis and Uncle Hisure went to Texas to find work.

Well to a six year old a Kotex box looks a lot like a Kleenex box. My nose was running (I didn’t have my coat on or I would have used my sleeve, ha, yeah I know you girls never done that!)

Anyway I needed something to blow my nose on, so I took a Kotex out of the box. Now this was confusing. WHY did they make these so thick? I was sitting in front of the closet seriously trying to tear this ‘thing’ apart. I had just figured I had better use the thin pieces at the end when Ruth walked in. She was as sweet back in 1945 as she is now. She got me a handkerchief to clean my nose. Funny I knew I had done something wrong by her and mama’s looks, but I did not get embarrassed until years later when I realized what I had actually done.
Thanks for coming by the log.

Law of Mechanical Repair - After your hands become coated with grease, your nose will begin to itch and you'll have to pee.

Lol, that was a good one, thanks for sharing. I could picture it in my mind...haha. Take care, Sheila
Little brothers don't seem to have the same embarrassment as men, in my experience...I'm just saying...

Now that is funny. A few years ago I was so sick and too sick to make it to the bathroom and the dirty clothes were piling up in a mound on the bedroom floor and I didn't give a damn. His sister told him to go to the store and buy me a package of Depends. I couldn't believe he was able to do that for me. If you meet him don't you dare mention this. lol

cute story Jack! I bet when you remembered it years later you were indeed very embarrassed! (hubby wasn't embarrassed here, he just kept coming home with the wrong ones, but at least he gave it an effort :)

LoL Jack - A pastor I knew years ago was having company. His wife was one of those perfectionists who wanted you to arrive on time. She always had every thing in perfect order. A very dainty soul. You know the sort. Company arrived early and she, running in circles between the kitchen and dining room asked hubby to put the napkins on the table. Know what he brought to the dining room? Yep!!! We're still laughing about it. (NO it was NOT me)

Maybe having a good memory isn't so good. lol You just made my day even better. A good laugh is great especially when the news of most bad things are looking better. I can picture you with a kotex getting ready to blow your nose on it.

Thank you for providing this uplifting and happy mood during my night. It is now close to twenty past four and I just started to wonder why things turn out many times too late in life - forcing me time and again to live it forward, yet understand it always backwards.
Over here, it is mostly me me wife refers to, asking about the time when to buy new "handkerchiefs" - and yes, is mostly me going to the supermarket then.
A wonderful Thursday for you all.
