You can learn a lot on the internet! Sex schedules?

Mel, Up NOrth, said: Every six months! Sherry has been telling me, once a year, this must get cleared up soon!

I love life, on another Forum I mentioned that if a person did not have a good outside interest, they should just take a long vacation and keep on working. Some folk retire then do not know what to do. My dad was one of those. He was a Pastor, his life was his congregation. He did not fish, hunt, golf or chase women so he was lost after a few weeks. In his sixties he and mother did organize and build one more church near their home place in rural Georgia. Retirement did not fit him.

Now me? Retirement fits. We work when we want to, mostly volunteer work. I am getting up early here, Okay, it s early for me. Sometimes I am up before 7. Shocks me too! But getting up early is not ME. I am a late sleeper and then stay up late at night or morning.
I just thought, I need to build a folding trailer for our boat. I will get on that soon!

We have friends coming up from Florida. It is another former pastor. This one is the Florida pastor who used to comment on the journal when it was AOL. Then a shower, for Sherry to attend. She also has a girls day out, she is taking Reececup and Sonny’s daughter Vickie to a luncheon.
I have one program to do in Lowell, NC using a new technique. I will let you know if it goes well, otherwise I will be quiet. Hahahahahaha

We are headed to the mountains next week. If I keep saying that we will finally make it. You know how Christmas is, so slow until it gets here.

Thanks for taking your valuable time to stop by the log, I appreciate it.

I think you and Sherry have made retirement work very well for the both of you. I wonder about retirement; I still think I will need to have a bit of a structure to my days since that's when I seem to do fine. give me too much free time and I can get into a lot of trouble :)

SHERRY AND JACK,
RETIREMENT IS GREAT.
FOR ME, SINCE 1981,
ENJOYED THE WOODWORKING SHOP.
ROAMED THE SANGRI-DE-CRISTO MOUNTAINS WITH THIRTY FIVE MM CAMERA. MANY WONDERFUL PHOTOS.
TRAVELLED TO OKLAHOMA FOR SCHOOL RE-UNIONS. ENJOYED FAST FOOD SERVICE AND DID PUT ON A FEW POUNDS.
ENJOYED GRAND CHILDREN AND ONE OF THE BOYS WHOM LOVED TO HEAR STORIES OF NATIVE INDIANS THAT LIVED UP IN THE MOUNTAINS ABOVE THE ARKANSAS RIVER , FOLLOWED ME ALONG THE BANKS OF THE RIVER AND A COUPLE OF TRIPS FOUND A NICE ARROWHEAD.
LATER HIS MOTHER TOLD ME THAT THOSE ARROWHEADS LOOKED LIKE ONES THAT WERE IN MY COLLECTION.

ATTENDED AUCTIONS DURING RETIREMENT, GETTING QUITE A COLLECTION OF ANTIQUES, THOSE ANTIQUES MAKING WONDERFUL GIFTS FOR BIRTHDAYS OF FAMILY MEMBERS.
NO NEED TO BE BORED DURING RETIREMENT. MAKE HAY WHILE THE SUN SHINES.

THIS 29TH YEAR OF RETIREMENT FINDS A 'SLOWDOWN' WITH ME AFTER HAVING THE 'STROKE' IN OCTOBER OF 2008, HOWEVER WITH THE COMPUTER, PRINTER, DIGITAL CAMERA AND WONDERFUL VIEW FROM A TENTH FLOOR WINDOW, VIEW OF THE ROCKY MOUNTAINS AND ARKANSAS RIVER FLOWING THROUGH CANON CITY COLORADO HERE IN THIS BROAD VALLEY OPENING FROM THE FAMOUS 'ROYAL GORGE' WHICH IS UPSTREAM ONLY A HALF DOZEN MILES.

'GRAPE CREEK' WHICH FLOWS INTO THE ARKANSAS RIVER AT THE TOWN'S EDGE, IS ACTUALLY LARGER THAN THE RIVER.
GRAPE CREEK FLOWS FROM THE MOUNTAINS NEAR WESTCLIFFE COLORADO, STILLED MOMENTARILY IN LAKE 'DEWEESE, THEN ON IT'S TURBULANT WAY ON DOWN TO CANON CITY.
YES, SWEET RETIREMENT, THANK GOD FOR THE MANY BLESSINGS IF WE CAN ONLY SEE THEM. sam

It's not easy going into retirement for many ~ not knowing what to do ... even when their retirement is forced upon them because of health issues at an early age; such as my case. I never in a thousand years thought that I would have a bum ticker like I do and have so many health issues and surgeries behind me at this stage of the game of life. I think the hardest thing of all to fight is depression. I thank the Good Lord for every waking moment I am given. EVERY day I say to myself the verse that my parents spoke to each other EVERY day ~

Psalms 118:24 This is the day the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it.

Like Sam said, "Thank God for the many blessings if we can only see them."

Now ...
To close my ramblings with this ~

THE SENILITY PRAYER : Grant me the senility to forget the people I never liked anyway, the good fortune to run into the ones I do, and the eyesight to tell the difference. Amen

Anxiously awaiting to hear about your "new technique" ~ gotta go and vacuum ... I think.

I love retirement and do stay busy. Get up when I want to-- eat when I am ready couldn't ask for
anything more. Be my own boss.

There was a time when I wished to be old enough to retire.
Please have a wonderful weekend and start of the new month as well.
