I do like some new technology

Do you read Bucko  http://buckoclown.blogspot.com/  ?  Many times he has some new technology. A day or so ago he had the weirdest contraption. Looked like a motorized big dog or small pony.  You would have to see it to believe it. Grandson Josh said   ‘cannot tell you have creepy that thing looks!’ It crawls walks runs jumps.  I laughed myself silly. After awhile you get to thinking this thing is alive and feel sorry for it. Anyway it is neat. We are gonna buy one when they get down to $50 to carry our packs on the trail.

BIGDOG

I have got a new one myself. Cousin Dewey, who goes by Howard now, sent me the future design of the Airbus. If you hate to fly, you ain’t gonna like this.  It is a see-thru plane. no more little window seats, heck you see out all down the sides and up. They can display movies on the glass, you can call home on the built in smart phones. I’m gonna love this.

no more

(You ain’t gonna like this one, this one ain’t Bush’s fault!)

Now the next thing you may have heard of, it is not pretty. Did you know we have a GOB of trash 20 Million pounds of it,  headed for Hawaii and the California coast. I read that this gob of trash covers an area twice the size of Texas . It is the trash generated by the Tsunami that hit Japan. It has everything in it from cars to paper trash. What will be done with it?

Talking about a mass cleanup, maybe the fish will eat it by then! Due to hit Hawaii in 2013 and California 2014.

Taken at a park where we once stayed.  Reminded me of Paula’s boots she used as planters.

Thanks for coming this way,

Found this on Lucy’s blog:

Behind every successful man is his woman. Behind the fall of a successful man is usually another woman.

Some technology is good but others are unbelievable for sure. I did hear about all that trash out in the ocean. Wouldn't you think there should be some new technology that could clean it up before it hits shore. Hate to think that some day our earth will be a huge trash dump. It's cool here today but the sun has been shining! Have a great Friday!

That is interesting about the trash and how long it will take to arrive here! Makes you wonder how things will look after being in the water for that long! I'm not sure about that plane, I kind of like the metal around me when I fly, but I'm sure for the adventurous they would enjoy the view from it!!

I read Bucko everyday. He has some interesting articles, for sure. Wouldn't like a see-through plane. make me too nervous. Really distressed about all that trash headed for our coastline. What are we going to do? Looks impossible to clean up. At least we have a year or two before it hits. Take care.

My son played with a toy car made of wood during this afternoon, and he turned to me, saying, that 'it does not function, it has no batteries.'
Seems indeed as if life has changed, gotten much complicated. Let's see what young life will make out of it.
Please have you all a good weekend.

Thanks for the shout out. The Japan mess hitting the islands is depressing...

Lost first comment. Technology moves to fast
for me to comprohend. I still don't understand
computers. I guess I am left behind. Could
that be Bush's fault.

Wonder if it is Bush's fault for all the trash
on the shore. LOL

It looks like it's gonna be a mess when it hits. I guess we'll get an idea of what we'll be dealing with when it hits Hawaii. With a little luck it'll drift south and give Mexico some new jobs so they'll stay home.

Jimmy has an idea about the trash.

Love the new tech stuff...especially the donkey/dog that will carry your backpack for you on the trail. It tickles the bottom of my feet to think of a glass airplane! I'd still like to try it though.
