More SECRET words

Last night Sherry’s Monitor Bit the dust. Flashing on and off. So she closed  it down and went to bed to read. Now I am ‘Mr Fixit’ ask any of my family.

So I must look inside. There are no screws to release the cover. So to the answer guy in the internet sky. The first words of two commenter's, “I hope you have strong fingers.

So I find a video. Sure enough no tools needed, but super finger strength at the tips to pry the cover off. After 15 minutes and cheating with a couple screw drivers I GAVE UP! That doesn't happen often.

So to the place where I have good credit, WALMART. Not a monitor in sight. I asked my girl to ask a Mr or MS Walmart about them. No we have no monitors in stock, after playing with her magic phone and clicking on the little sale sign, she says, “WE are not expecting any either.”

all in one 333

So we left the store $372 lighter with Sherry a brand new All-In-One computer (NO Touch Screen she says). It now sits across from me but my girl is not a happy camper. Her Solitarie Card games are not available, or not the right ones.

Also presents a problem, of entering a pass word to use your computer, she doesn’t like that. But It now has most of the stuff she had before plus I loade the 30,000+ pictures.

Andy Yes THREE more super duper secret numbers or codes, or passwords.

But life goes on and she can read Facebook, Life is tough.

How discouraging for you to have more passwords to endure...Hope you can find a monitor at some point for the old computer. Meanwhile hope Sherry adjusts to the new one. I know I'd be lost without mine.

I feel Sherry's pain. I've had my new computer long enough for it to be called old and I'm still not used to it. Now I'm debating if I should take Windows 10 or not and maybe lose some of my favorite games.

Perhaps one of your Grands has some tech expertise? Agree that it's tough to have issues surface and be totally lost as I am often with these situations. Sometimes a google search can be helpful as there are often user responses to questions or if Sherry calls HP's tech support they may have an answer. Good luck!

Poor Sherry! It is hard to get used to a new computer, especially if it doesn't have what you might enjoy playing on it, like that Solitaire game. I honestly think sometimes WalMart keeps their stock really low on things they might not sell as often. We tried to get a camera from them; went to three different WalMarts here, all out of stock with no shipment coming soon. Finally went to Best Buy and got one right away. Technology is wonderful except when it fails us.

I have a Mac computer which I love but it's beginning to act up. I think the hard drive is about to die. I looked at a new computers today but Apple computers take a chunk out of your wallet. I've been saving my writing money for several months and I should have enough to get the new computer soon. The beauty of the Mac is that the software on the new machine behaves just like the software on my old Mac just faster.
Maybe Sherry will come around soon. If not, I'd recommend the chicken flavored dog biscuits during the time your in the doghouse. The liver flavored give me gas :)

You are a GREAT fix it fella for taking care of the problem. New computers are always a pain in the rear to get used to. I hope she is able to get her solitare games on this one soon.

Go to your personal settings and set the computer to where you do not have to enter a password.
Another cool idea is to get some little flash drives to load those pictures on. You can still stick it back into any computer and look at them anytime you want. This will free up your space. Good luck. New computers are always a pain to train.

Blessing from over here.
