The Spaghetti crowd

Funny thing, being in North Carolina.  Folks congregate at the motor home and we enjoy it.  Sherry announced she was fixing spaghetti and the door was open.  She fed 9 adults and two smaller ones in our tight motor home.  It was family time. I did my part, I 'baked' a Ms Edwards turtle pie. :-O.      ;-)
(I thought these were pleasant pictures of flowers, I wish I were more flora knowledgeable.)

Stella's line is always, "Let's do magic!"  So we get out a few magic tricks. She usually gets a gold dollar that appears in her ear or shoe.   She also uses a box of magic tricks that she and her mom bought me. You would know that it must come out.  It has a lot of plastic cups and small sponge balls.

When Jude arrived I quickly learned he liked magic also.  His idea of magic was to dump the box on the floor and laugh. I watched his mama place everything back in the box neatly. And in no time Jude would do magic again.  We had a great family time, these cramped quarters never seem to bother anyone.  It is so good to see as many as we can.  Some did not get to come and we missed them.

Before we leave for Florida again, we will have the whole family out for dinner, that too is a great time.

Thanks for dropping by the Shipslog. I know there are lots of other things you could be doing, but thanks, I am honored that you stopped by, life is good.

Do you have a favorite thing you do for kids, grands, great or small to entertain them? Do they ask for anything special at your house? We get requests for meals of beef and rice some really like Sherry's Fish Stew.  They all like Sherry's lasagna and spaghetti.

But tonight, we both are restfully tired, it has been a wonderful day!

Sounds like a lovely day. Like they say " A crowded camper is better than an empty castle".

When My daughter was young, I had birthday parties all the time. Yep, She would go to her room and wrap every thing she could by using news paper or blankets and bring them to me to open. I had to act surprised at every one. This was almost every day for a while. Then of course we did a lot of crafting and coloring.

Your neighbor,
Lisa

Family meals shared are such great times. Spaghetti is always loved by all here as well as lasagna, which usually only have during the Christmas holidays. Good that you can get together ! Enjoy these special times!

Nothing like a delicious meal spent with those you love. Sounds like a very enjoyable evening. Must be fun to do magic with Stella. We always tried to spend a lot of time outside when the kids were young playing tag, hide and seek, etc. Liked the exercise they got and it was fun to do.

I don't know how I am missing your blogs. Things and days are going
by to fast as we get older. I will get my act together and do better.
Dinner sounded good glad the family had a good time.

Heartwarming!
Here, I get all 'wigged out' if we have more than 4-5 people over, but you two sound cool as a couple of cucumbers.
... and a lot more fun!

I love the descriptions of the wonderful time you spend with family. Your Grands are blessed.
Yes. Our Grands love magic tricks, as well. (And our only Grandson is quite good with his magic.) He just turned 8, and he has been loving magic tricks since he was 6.
Any time spent with them is magical to me.
I love them beyond words!
