Crinolines.... My computer is stuck on this page

It will not go up or down and I have no idea what will publish but here goes.

I knew what they were, but I NEVER saw that much of them, HONEST!

SO for now:

When you get older things of your youth, that you thought were ‘cool’ slowly disappear. For a while boys wore thin belts. WE had bell bottom trousers for a while.  We had duck tails then flat tops.  For a period  we boys wore our pants low, not as far down as now or we would have been locked up!  LOL

On the east coast, cars were lowered in the rear.  We were cool. Out on the west coast the front was lowered. But we didn’t know that, there was no internet and 24 hours of news.

‘Just to know you are mine ‘til the end of time makes my heart skip a beat…!’  I don’t know all the words so I looked them up, since I been singing that line or two lately to my girl:..

Buck Owens…. Oh, my heart skips a beat when we walk down the street

I feel a tremblin' in my knees
And just to know you're mine until the end of time
Makes my heart skip a beat

Well, I did a double take the day I met you
My heart turned a flip as I stood next to you
And I knew right there I never could forget you
For you are my every dream come true

And my heart skips a beat when we walk down the street
I feel a tremblin' in my knees
And just to know you're mine until the end of time
Makes my heart skip a beat

You came into my life without a warning
And you turned my cloudy skies from gray to blue
You're my sunshine that comes up every morning
Yes, you are my every dream come true

And my heart skips a beat when we walk down the street
I feel a tremblin' in my knees
And just to know you're mine until the end of time
Makes my heart skip a beat…

I do not know what I have done, but I see only one line at a time on my screen

My girl,  I am just stuck back in the ‘50s.  My girl was just the Best and she wore crinolines back then…

Nite Shipslog

My ps disappeared:  Just wanted you to know I am thinking of you and hope you dreams come true...

PS.    Just wanted you to know I am Sending some good thoughts your way.

This was a fun and touching post! I hope your sweet wife reads it and enjoys it as much as I did. And crinolines? Yes, I remember them well. I am glad we don't have to wear them anymore! The 50's and 60's were a special time to be growing up. I am thankful that I did grow up then and not now. Kids today have no clue how much fun it was just to be a kid playing outside all day and no internet to entertain us. If we did watch tv, it was restricted and only after I had made my bed, had my breakfast, cleaned up, and did my chores. Then I could watch the Saturday morning cartoons. But not for long. When the sun was up we were outside playing!! Those were the days my friend, we thought they'd never end!
Have a blessed Christmas!

It has been a long time since crinolines have been around, I remember them when I was a teen. The more you had on the better. True a lot of things have disappeared that people may never see again. but they do soy fashions always come back again! Hope you can get rid of your computer woes!

Fashion, like home decor, comes and goes and what goes around comes around again! But first and true love lasts forever and you are so sweet to your sweetheart and the years passing just make it better! I hope you two are healthy and happy today even if the computer is not! Take care Jack and Sherry!

Isn't it fun to look back at fashions we believed were "so cool"? I'm not familiar with this tune, but sure used to enjoy Buck Owens on Hee Haw.

I never wore a crinoline myself. But I find all that interesting. It is weird - they say is you hold your clothes long enough - they will come back in style.

You always love your gal. Hope she knows how special that is.
