We are in the RV in son Mark's yard. We plan to head north and take two day to reach our home base in Belmont, NC. Will depart in the next few days. Sherry is doing well, I haven't noticed a speech problem in a couple days. She is still weak.
Just a note about the Waterman Hospital in Tavares. I do not know much about hospitals, but I would bet this one is at the top of the list of good ones. Everyone was supportive friendly and courteous. They went above and beyond in the caring.
Dr. Panara celebrating at Sherry's going home. He said, when asked, but my bread is better! ;-)
Two ladies who prepped her for a procedure became like sisters to her with words of encouragement, most of them scriptures.
Anyway I cannot say enough good about the Doctors, staff, cleaning crew and Mess Hall workers. Sherry was given a choice of 2 or 3 meals before each meal time. Their motto is something like this: "We continue where Jesus left off".
I did write the Admin wit our thanks.
Be back in a few days....

Great news, Jack and Sherry! That facility and all the care givers sound pretty amazing.
Love the expression on Doc's face!
Please take good care of one another now.
Oh no Jack! I'm so sorry to hear this! I'll be sending up prayers for complete recovery for your sweetheart. I've been a way from blogging while we help with our son's recovery from a strep infection that went septic and also covid that shut his kidneys down. But he's rebounded and hopefully will go home today after 2 weeks in the hospital. So drive carefully home, and give that sweet gal a hug from Jack and me in Ohio!
So glad Sherrry is doing well. Hope you all have a great journey home. That hospital sounds amazing. It's care like that which makes a big difference!
Great news. Sounds like a wonderful hospital. It does make a difference.
Safe traveling!!!
Sounds like the hospital is fantastic and took care of Sherry. Just relax and get home safe and slow. Glad Sherry is doing well. I am sorry she had to go through this.
I am sorry that I missed so many posts about your dear wife Sherry. I am happy to read that she is now doing well and that you are taking your trip to NC as planned. Praying for both of you, and for Sherry's continued health. I've told you before that I grew up in Tavares, and I remember the original Waterman hospital, that was in Eustis. I was there when I was 7 years old with pneumonia for a week, in an oxygen tent! I'll never forget it. Then I was there again for the birth of my first son, and back again 18 months later for the birth of my 2nd son. The third son was born in Orlando instead since we lived there then. I was back there quite a few years later, when I was 50, and had surgery. That was still in the Eustis Waterman hospital. They built the new one when we moved away from the area and thankfully I never had to go back there to stay in the hospital, but I'm glad to know it is so good. Actually my mother was there a few months before she passed away at the age of 89. Anyway, I am thankful to know Sherry was so well taken care of in my home town hospital. Please take care and have a safe journey and visit in NC. May God be with you both.
Prayers going out for both of you Jack and Sherry ..i have read this blog off and on for years.....every good wish to you .Michelle .
