Picture of the day:
MY Granny and Grandpa DArnell. This was taken in the 1930s. They both died in the 1940s. DAddy said when they were picking cotton and ran across a wasp nest, they called his dad and he put his hand under his arm in the sweat, then reached and pulled the wasp nest and stomped it with his bare feet. His sweat shoo-ed the wasps.this is Grandpa and Grandma about 1903, that is my dad on GRandpa's knee.
Today’s stuff:
I have been thinking more and more about the
end for me. I remember
when I KNEW I would live to be 105 to 120
years. LOL Now? Not so
much. I have accepted something. I think I
kinda thought that this last
episode for me (concerning the growth), not
caring, if this was my end
thing.
That is not a sad thing methinks, just reality. I am not depressed. But for the first time in my life I can remember laying in bed all day. I have never been a ‘napper’, seemed a waste of time to me. LOL
For the past few months. I have been working 10-12 hour days and not being worn out or tired. All of a sudden, I am light headed and two hours of WORK, (like today I cleaned and painted most of a storage building on the back side of our property, ) I am shot and went directly to bed. After a bowl of fish chowder.
Sorry if this sounds like a sad sack. I still have not learned what my ‘removed growth’ was. I get the stitches taken out in a few days, the Dr. said he may have the results by then.
I am just curious, I really don’t care what it was.
Night to all of you, And thanks for your support prayers and positive thoughts.

Don't give up yet, I don't think God is through with your quite yet. :) You two are on my prayer list.
I just went back and read your previous post that I missed, so I'd know what you were talking about. That was some kind of red nose growth! Praying with you that the results are all good and that it is all gone for good! But yes, you still should take it easy for a while and let your body have a chance to heal properly! Especially if it is anywhere near as hot there as it is here in Florida. OUr high was 93 today, with high humidity. We finally just got some good rain! Praise God. Hopefully it will keep it up until our pond is overflowing. Do take care and stay in touch as you are able. We will keep praying!
Mister, you are NOT a sad sack. Jus' keeping it real. I think Tom's going through much of the same thing; it's a bit uncomfortable for the rest of us, yes. Don't discount the effects of this heat and humidity. One of Tom's close friends (who works like you) was rushed to the hospital last week with suspected stroke. Turns out, it was dehydration.
Still praying, and "hi" to your best gal!
Don’t get in any hurry to go anywhere, we would sure miss hearing from you and Mrs. Sherry. Prayers that the healing is going well for both of you. Love you two, Sheila ❤️
I read the comments of others and I agree with Myra. You are not a sad sack - you might be a little sad - but that is so incredibly normal. Talking about death is not easy and a lot of people don't like to do it - but it is necessary.
Resting is a good thing too - the heat is so intense. Hate it.
I think the health problems just brought some reality to you.
Praying for you both.
Praying for you both. God bless.

This world is not done with you yet, Jack! I know what you mean though. Life has a way of slowing us down that we didn't think possible even 5 or 10 years ago. Rest when you need to and work to keep 'the devil' at bay....and I am talking about 'the devil' that is in your body! Hugs and love, Diana
