Photo of the day:
Once on a visit to their home somewhere, Buddy & DI took us on a tour that included Sandia Peak that is near Albuquerque. Yeah they move a lot too!
This is the old man, I am sure I am younger than him. LOL
So for today:
Most men (boys) I know really liked the series, “Happy Days”. Most of us
look back and think we were the ‘Fonz!’
There
were a lot of boys I hung with and had a good time. BUT, but of course we all could
not be ‘The Fonz’. However, watching the program each week we saw that the
writers & producers were pretty good at including most character personalities
of that time frame.
In my life, there was one threesome, VonDAle, Buddy (Richard) and Jack. Vonnie had a
Motorcycle, and he was cool (we all were) LOL. . Vondale and I hung together. Then a few years
after us two met, Buddy came along. We all fit sorta like a glove and had a
great relationship, never a falling out or gripe session. If we had a Fonz, it
was Bud.
If you read Victor here, Blogsville,
you see an OLD man who is witty and missed his calling as a priest. Lately I read that Victor's priest looked forward to
his confessions, (if for nothing more than the entertainment). I mentioned
Victor because of his wit. In our group, Buddy was the
witty one, great with the great immediate comeback.
WE
see each other seldom in our LATER years. But once at Bud and Di’s home in
Florida, he said he read the Shipslog every day. Sherry and I mentioned lately,
we need to see Bud and Di on our next
trip down to Florida.
And ‘just like that’ yesterday, I believe his first comment ever and it
was Buddy to a ‘T’!
Wellllll......., tomorrow I
will be as old as you, but until midnight tonight I'm still 85. I was gonna
type something else but I forgot. I hope to see you guys before I become "Bud In The Mud"
or before you become "Jack
In The Box." Miss you two!!
Yep that is Buddy. The rascal
found a young girl in the UK tricked her into marrying him and brought her to
this side of the pond. She is a sweet, loving
and UNDERSTANDING lady, she must me, I KNOW Buddy!
Nite
Shipslog
PS:
AGAIN THANKS for
reading the Shipslog. Sure do appreciate
you folks who take time to read this
stuff. And remember, if you have a
problem, things will work out!
