Photo of the day:
Eddie has a 4 man softball team, they are great showmen, we have enjoyed seeing them a couple of times.
First: About Trivia, Sherry said she doesn't know how, but daily trivia just pops up every day along with 'Brain Candy. Will check with JJ the next time they play tomorrow...
So for today:
Not too many things frighten me. My reactions are too slow most
of the time. By the time something happens that might have been scary, it is
over before I have time to react.
Heights seldom bother me, as long as I have a hand hold close by. I am
also an optimist, in the beginning of my times at sea, Sherry once asked, “What
if the ship sinks?”
My answer was, “I will swim home to you!” However, I do LOVE the sea, and it holds no
fear. (as long as I have a solid ship or boat under me!) My friend Don was a Submariner; now I am not
sure I would like being ‘underwater’.
HOWEVER, once in Gitmo our division decided to form a fast pitch
softball team. Hey, imma give that a try, I played baseball as a kid and loved
it. BUT, but in practice we had an All-Navy pitcher. My first at bat I actually
stood until I was called ‘out’ on strikes!
How could an umpire call me out when he cannot even see the danged ball.
The pitcher threw that ball at over 100mph! That did SCARE me! I never went
back for a second time at-bat, I bowed out to the crazy younger generation. How
do you intentionally stand comfortably when a ball passes within 2 feet of you
at 100mph plus?
My great granddaughter Stella plays fast pitch soft ball and is VERY good at it. Many base hits and one homer I know of. She sure is not scared, that is for sure.

I am scared of the mother-in-law when I see her broomstick by the front door.
God bless.
