Picture of the day!
BUT for now:
WE B Tired!
Today will be church and some time to rest.
WE are now 500-700 pounds of stuff lighter than we were on Sat morning.
We sold and gave away about half of it, then a truck from the Kidney Foundation
came and took what was left. We are relieved but have ‘vowed’ not to do it
again. LOL
WE met some
wonderful people and enjoyed a lot of fellowship. Even saw the owner of a local
Lumber yard I did business with or 30-40 years ago while in the building business.
But today is
a day that was the center of my life as I grew up. I cannot remember missing
Sunday School. Even when many families
did not attend church, their kids found their way to Sunday School.
It is sad that
many kids today do not KNOW the great basic Bible Stories I grew up with.
There are
wonerful teaching stories in scripture, no matter the many interpretation you can
read. Most of us older folks have a
favorite Bible Character that grabbed our minds as a kid. From Moses to John the
revelator. To this boys mind it was hard to top David and Sampson. LOL
Of course the Birth of the Lord is tops in every child's life at Christmas.
Do you have
a favorite Bible character?

PS. No matter what else happens, I will enjoy thinking
of HIM and Scripture today. I just thought of Calib and Joshua, my dad could
make that story come alive.

I grew up the same as you going to church every Sunday. Now I'm living with my daughter and I go when she can take. On the Sundays I cannot go I watch it streaming on my phone. It is better than nothing. I always think of the Christmas story as the Best Love Story of them all. God sent his son to earth because he loved us so much.
