Picture of the day:
Sonny Helms, Brother-in-law and GREAT friend.
Sonny and I On our circle around the US in California, at Graman's Chinese Theater with our fingers in Trigger's hoof prints.
SO for now:
JJ helped me
move HEAVY stuff to our new house today. Mus be 2 or 3 generators, a tiller, a
broken pressure washer, power weed eater, compressor, and some odds and ends.
I took time to plug a tire on grandson Lukes Ski-doo trailer that has not
been used for 2-3 years. LOL
Oh yes and we did go to a church BBQ at the Paw Creek Methodist church.
WE had a great time but brought back memories of a man I will never see again
in this life. My friend Sonny’s Son and daughter (Steve and Vickie) were there.
This picture came up in discussion today. Taken the day of our marriage, Sherry, Reecie (Sherry's good friend) and Colette (Sherry's sister and Vickie's mama) The three adults were supposed to be the Stars, but Vickie on the left stole the show. LOL
I don’t know
what it is like to lose a mate (and hope I never know) but I KNOW how it feels
to lose a super friend. We had a lot to talk about. I have told Steve a million
times how much I miss his dad, WE did so many things together. Steve blessed my
soul once about a year or so ago, just after he had lost his best friend Hank.
He said, “Uncle Jack, you have said so many times how you felt about
losing my dad. It was good to know that, BUT NOW I KNOW WHAT YOU REALLY MEANT, ‘When
you say I miss him, YOU
REALLY MEAN YOU MISS HIM, NOT JUST IN WORDS.’ ”
Yes, there is such a thing as ‘missing
someone,’ and then there is also a real thing of !!MISSING SOMEONE!!
down deep in your soul.
Above is Steve consoling JJ who didn't want his picture took.
I hope we all have a great weekend.
PS. Griping, ME? “Never in a hundred, never in a
thousand, never in a million years, uh oh uh oh!” I know that was in some song a long time ago…!
BUT I am still Sending some good thoughts
your way.
