Little known facts:

you consuming 1/10 of a calorie.
…Our eyes are always the same size from birth, but our nose
and ears never stop growing.
…The average person falls asleep in seven minutes. (I am not average!)
Have you ever ruined a trip by wondering if something was done or left undone? I enjoy cooking using the pressure cooker. Once I was running an errand and thought, ‘Did I just drive off and leave the burner on under the pressure cooker?’ I was about two miles away. I did a u-turn and rushed back to the house. I had not left the burner ON, good for me.
Oh yes, when we left the Florida home. We had driven about 5 miles and I asked Sherry about the coffee pot. She said she thought she had turned it off, but could not be sure. To be sure we circled back and sure enough she had turned it OFF. So to ease my mind, I just unplugged it.
It was not necessary to go back, and we were ALMOST SURE IT WAS OFF. But With the problems years ago of ‘Mr Coffees’ causing house fires, it was better safe than sorry. It is so nice not to be in a hurry.
We knew the trip would have been ruined, wondering if the pot was actually off. The subject would have come up several more times I am sure.
The twenty minutes returning to check was worth every ‘wasted minute’. To repeat myself, it is nice not to be rushed in life. We talked about how in our lives we have felt rushed, but we really weren’t, except in our minds. SLOW DOWN a little before you are in your senior years. Life will be better. If you are a senior, take note, WE have the same 24 hours in a day that we have always had, no one has changed the time allowance, honestly!
