Did you get the wrong baby?

This is Sherry, they would not have sent her back.
Nobody would have sent this one back, well maybe daddy.

This one was The last one Sherry brought home from the hospital.

This is the first one She brought home.

How would you know if you got the wrong baby?
Head line:On average, 12 newborns will be given to the wrong parents, daily.
Wiki answers: 1 out of 8 babies are given to the wrong parents.
(My logic to the Wiki answers is how can it be 1 out of 8. If one is wrong, there must be two, right? Or am I losing my logic?)

(Reckon it was safer when the babies were born at home, even if the mama didn't like them there was none to trade for!)

Okay, anyway, how would you know if you are given the wrong child? After fifteen years, would you care?
My answer to that is, “ only if the wrong one was turning out to be some kind of weirdo.” If he was a great kid certainly I would rather keep him/her because by then we are attached. This is my kid, wrong, adopted, or just slipped in! LOL

I read where two children were mixed up by the hospital. They did a blood test to verify which belonged to which mother. When they got the maternity bill it included a $100 blood test to verify the parents. Yep, you bet I would refuse to pay that! Their fault, their problem!

I was sure Sherry got the right sons at first, but there were times I was sure they belonged to some mafia type! (Hahaha!) Right now, I think the younger son should be sent back to Jay Leno or someone.

It is hard to accept the cards dealt by life. (Not sure God appreciates that example, but I think HE understands what I am saying) But we as humans don’t have much choice. ‘Y’ (Yevette, of ‘Our Tennessee Mountain Home”) has a statement in her profile I like. “"Life is what happens when you're making other plans." But still I plan...”
Ain’t it the truth!

I had a cousin who was prone to say, “Jackie don’t belong to any parents.”
I kept thinking, even a chicken had to lay the egg for a chick to be hatched; we all have parents, somewhere! (I think sometimes mama thought she may have sat the wrong egg!)

Thanks for reading this drivel.

Beautiful babies................Your a lucky man, Sherry

I had 7 and never doubted for a moment that they were mine. They all had their Dad's sweet disposition, his flat feet and his enlarged sinus cavities and thankfully didn't inherit my bad temper.

I am surprised that Mother and Dad didn't send
us both back but they kept their patience dealing
with us. We are here and doing good. To late
to send one of your back so keep him.

loved all the baby pictures!! I can imagine it would happen that the wrong baby was given to the wrong parents but these days it seems more babies stay in the room with the moms so that might eliminate that problem. Heck, saw a story a few months ago that the boarder gave the wrong lab to a family and it took a little bit to figure that one out (I guess a friend of the family had picked up the dog or something like that). I would think if I got the wrong baby and it was found out years down the line, I think I would still keep the one I had raised regardless if they weren't of my blood. But maybe I have that opinion since my two are adopted.

I think sometimes we get knocked down with the cards we are dealt with life and sometimes we bring it on ourselves. I think we always have to remember that God knows what is best when we feel we have gotten a raw deal in things as he sees the big picture in all things. However, we have to be careful to not blame him for things we brought on ourselves because of poor or unwise decisions we made.

great baby pictures. I never had a doubt that all of my babies were ours. The Petersons were all tow heads and looked just like their dad. My one Henderson also looked like his dad, and I agree with Betty but sometimes I wonder if God gave me the challenge to raise Marty. If he did I failed miserably. Did pretty good with the Petersons.

Times have changed since I was born - at home! As for my children, they are MINE and each of them shows it in one way or the other, so I couldn't deny them being mine for any reason. LoL

Can really see the resemblance in the parents and the kids...they are all yours, you lucky folks.
Mine are definitely mine. Nuff said.
I think if they had been mixed up in the hospital, I would have noticed. They all have their Moms dimples.

I enjoyed your remarks as usual...but I'll tell you I think my parents would have liked to send me back (or somewhere). I was (and still am) the black sheep of my family but they did survive and so did I eventually. But I do have a grandson I would like to send back sometimes, and then he calls and says he loves us and of course I melt AGAIN. So guess we'll keep him anyway.

Thanks for mentioning my blog. I need all the followers I can get so I'll know how my books will sell when I finally get them published.

As everything rare searches for something alike, am sure that it is indeed felt which baby is the right one. With regard to mine, he was the only one quiet or sleeping while the other were noisy.
