Traveling, books and my LOVE!

(Buffalo Bills house and ranch near North Platte, NE)
I like to travel. Maybe there is something I like better, but for safety sake (mine) I will not mention it. Of course tonight ain’t the night, or I would not be on this key board. !!! HA!
Our Senior Tour of the US is in the infancy of planning. Of course we are looking for unique and interesting places, because of the possibility of a book. Not writing makes me feel like something is missing. I haven’t enough ideas yet to form a book in my mind, so I haven’t recorded much. Also I haven’t contacted my new ‘proof reader’ nor made any arrangements. Sherry is turning her job over to someone else (according to her). Maybe this person will not be as tough as Sherry!

(Crazy Horse monument, Mock-up in white, the mountain carving in the back ground, This is in the Black Hills.)
The next book was to be a Romance Novel, I don’t know why, other than I have been asked by several folks if I was ever going to write a romance novel, so I guess that is the real reason, but I need inspiration. Traveling inspires me.

(Devil's Tower in Wyoming)

(Badlands of South Dakota)

(Corn Palace, Mitchell, SD, the worlds largest bird feeded!)

I would venture to say I have written nearly zero chapters while this coach was in the North Carolina area, too much diversion. I read more here though. I have read two Robert Parker books in a week. I am starting on a Jonathan Kellerman, called ‘Evidence’. So I will enjoy reading and hoping an idea pops into my brain.

(Still traveling, this is the location of the real 'Little House on the Prairie, these cotton woods were actually planted by Pa Ingalls! DeSmet, SD)

I just put my girl to bed (that is always fun) I didn't read her a bed time story, but I did try to tell her how much I love her. That girl is a lot of fun. We have this thing, one of us will start singing one line of a song, “You make me so very happy, I’m so glad you came into my life, (then together we sing) Thank you baby!” That was sung by a group called ‘Blood, Sweat & Tears. (BUT, we do it so much better). HA!

(Gateway to the WEST, St. Louis, Missouri, OF COURSE!)

Then sometimes I will sing, ‘I’m a lucky fella, she rings my bella’!
We do silly stuff, but it is fun. Life can be great in a motor home.
Any more ideas of people, places or things for us to visit, going across country fire away.
Thanks for coming by the log,
Nite Shipslog
PS:
Lettin' the cat outta the bag is a whole lot easier'n puttin' it back.

I have been through Waxsaw and Cramerton Tunnels.
I could keep you busy in NC. Can you believe
we have 90 winery's in NC including the one in
Valdese which we never visited. Morganton has
Millstone Meadows Daylilly Farm. Over l,100
types of daylilies. Going to Hiddeite and pan
for emeralds. Venture to Bishopville, SC to Fryar's Topiary Garden. That will be extent of
my travel.

If not traveling or reading, I love to do absolute nothing, sitting upon me wooden chair, nearly forgetting to breath - or changing a diaper and a bed at close to quater past four in the morning, over here. A great Thursday for you all.

Nothing wrong with a little silly stuff. Wish I could twitch my nose like 'bewitched' and everything would be packed and on it's way to NC. Take care, Sheila

Awww that is so neat that you and Sherry have fun. John and I have certain silly words we just pop out with and no one would understand the joke.

enjoyed your travel pictures, Jack! been to some of those places so it was fun to see them again in your photos!

too cute that you and Sherry have your favorite songs to sing to/with each other! keeps the romance alive indeed!

Lake Arrowhead is really pretty here, up in the mountains a bit and very scenic (and about 1-1/2 hours from where I live LOL)

Silly? Not if it gets the desired results! Sounds pretty smart to me. ☻ You two are a remarkable couple of friends that inspire many others to enjoy life.

On the travel - how 'bout we put the RV aboard a ship and sail for Africa. We could take A104 from Mombasa, Kenya all the way up to Morocco! Ha. Thought that would get your juices flowing for that Romance novel. You could just drop me off in Kilifi Creek where I met a young Dutch Reformed minister's daughter who had run away from their home in Durban, S. Africa with her lover. She and Tony built a home on the shores of Kilifi Creek and stayed. He died a couple years ago and she is still there. Quite a true story.

That is cool that you and Sherry have those little songs. We have traveled very little in our own state. which as Shirl said there is a lot to see if you look. I do believe we have the most beautiful Capitol out of most. I haven't been through it for years. I worked for a while in it.

I'm in awe of your travels. I've only been all over New England because that is my roots and where I'm originally from and now Florida!

Now that I have the time to travel, I don't have the funds! LOL

Still going back and forth with the doctors regarding the horrible blood work results and spiked liver enzimes. They can't find the culprit yet............Ugh.

Happy 4th of July!

Hugs, Rose
